LEGO Harry Potter Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026, according to Nintendo’s US listing. The bundle includes remastered versions of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1–4 and Years 5–7. Its release arrives ahead of the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series, which official Harry Potter coverage says is expected around Christmas 2026; the two projects are separate, with no announced story connection.
When does LEGO Harry Potter Collection release on Switch 2?
Nintendo’s US store lists October 16, 2026 as the release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. The listing names WB Games as publisher and TT Games as developer. Nintendo’s US listing cautions that product information may not be finalized before preorder.

Nintendo describes the compilation as the two remastered games together for Switch 2. Nintendo’s product page currently lists an estimated 13.7 GB download size, TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes, and single-system play for one to two players. It gives the ESRB rating as Cartoon Violence and Crude Humor; these are pre-release listing details and may change.

Will there be a physical Switch 2 copy?
A packaged edition is planned in Japan. Sega’s September 2, 2026 announcement gives October 16, 2026 for the digital version and October 29, 2026 for the packaged version. That October 29 date is specific to Japan and does not establish a physical-release date for other regions. Sega’s announcement does not provide pricing in the information cited here.

Is the game connected to the upcoming HBO series?
The timing puts the game ahead of the new series, but official announcements do not describe the Switch 2 collection as an adaptation, tie-in, or companion to it. The games retell the Harry Potter story in LEGO form; the HBO project is a separate television adaptation. Official Harry Potter coverage places the series’ expected arrival around Christmas 2026, without establishing that its distribution will be identical in every region.
