LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight runs at a reviewer-reported 30 fps on Nintendo Switch 2, with occasional frame drops and visual compromises. Meristation describes dynamic resolution as 1080p docked and 720p handheld, but those figures are review findings—not Nintendo-confirmed output specifications. Nintendo does not publish a frame-rate, resolution, or loading benchmark for the game.
How does the game perform on Switch 2?
Meristation describes a 30 fps presentation and says performance can become unstable in scenes with many elements, though it does not characterize the issue as severe. Nintendo Life likewise reports generally good play with occasional frame drops. Neither review supplies a standardized frame-time test or identifies a specific game build, so these are reviewer observations rather than controlled benchmark results.
The game is a narrative-led open-world action-adventure from TT Games. Nintendo’s listing describes Bruce Wayne’s path from training with the League of Shadows to becoming Gotham’s hero, with combat built around combos, stealth, and detective skills. The setting and busy city scenes help explain why frame drops and visual detail can vary as the action changes.

What resolution does it use, and how do docked and handheld play compare?
Meristation reports dynamic resolution described as 1080p when docked and 720p in handheld mode. These are not officially specified targets, guaranteed output resolutions, or independently verified native resolutions. Nintendo’s listing does not state the game’s resolution.

| Mode | Reviewer-reported resolution | Reported image-quality observations |
|---|---|---|
| Docked | Dynamic resolution described by Meristation as 1080p | Meristation notes softer distant textures, pop-in while driving, and reduced lighting and water detail compared with home consoles. Nintendo Life also reports pop-in and blurrier background textures than on other platforms. |
| Handheld | Dynamic resolution described by Meristation as 720p | Nintendo Life says the differences in background texture and pop-in are less noticeable on the handheld screen. |
Meristation says the Switch 2 version has no selectable quality or performance mode. Its review also describes reduced texture, lighting, and water detail versus home consoles; Nintendo Life separately notes softer backgrounds compared with other platforms. These are qualitative reviewer comparisons, not measurements from a controlled side-by-side test.
Are load times long?
Nintendo Everything says loading can feel a little long, particularly given the amount of Gotham being loaded. It does not provide timings in seconds or a measured comparison with another platform, so there is no evidence here for a precise wait-time estimate or a claim that Switch 2 loads definitively slower.

How much storage does the Switch 2 version need?
Nintendo’s UK listing gives the download size as 23.7 GB. That is the listed download size; it does not establish the final installed footprint after updates, cache, or save data. The same listing gives a release date of 18 September 2026.
If the reported performance tradeoffs suit you, see the Nintendo UK Switch 2 game listing for current product details. Nintendo lists TV, handheld, and tabletop modes, and HDR support when connected to a compatible television. The listing says one to two players can play on one system; LEGO describes local two-player couch co-op and says no platform subscription is required.

- LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Is the Switch 2 version a good fit?
The key choice is portability and play-mode flexibility versus a presentation reviewers describe as 30 fps, sometimes uneven, and less visually detailed than on other platforms. For docked and handheld play, the most specific resolution figures available are Meristation’s dynamic 1080p and 720p descriptions; Nintendo has not confirmed them as technical specifications. If sharp distant detail and consistently stable performance are priorities, account for the reported pop-in, softer backgrounds, and occasional drops before choosing this version.
Edition note
WB Games’ FAQ says the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition is physical only and includes a LEGO Retro Video Game Batman minifigure as a launch bonus while supplies last. The FAQ does not establish whether that limited bonus is still available; check current retailer listings if it matters to your purchase.
