A fan-made “Ocean Queen Miku” turns LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Sea Animals: Beautiful Dolphins (set 31385) into a Hatsune Miku figure. The creator, Reddit user Minute_Food_2881, says the alternate build uses no extra pieces; that claim is theirs, not an independently verified parts audit. The post shows the build but does not provide Miku-specific instructions.
What the Ocean Queen Miku build is
Minute_Food_2881 shared the custom figure in the Hatsune Miku subreddit as an alternate build of LEGO set 31385. The creator describes it as “My LEGO Ocean Queen Miku alternate build of the 31385 Beautiful Dolphin set. No extra pieces used.” It is fan-made, not an official LEGO model or licensed product.
The creator’s title is the evidence for the no-extra-pieces claim. The post does not include a parts inventory or other documentation that would independently confirm it.

LEGO identifies set 31385 as Sea Animals: Beautiful Dolphins. The official product page lists 542 pieces, an age recommendation of 9+, and a 2026 release year. LEGO provides three instruction books for the set’s official models.
#1 Best Overall
- 3 IN 1 TOY FOR KIDS – LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Sea Animals: Beautiful Dolphins (31385) building toy lets boys and girls ages 9 years old and up construct 3 sea animal toys from 1 set of LEGO bricks
- BUILD & REBUILD – Kids can dream up endless stories as they create 1 of 3 brick-built ocean animals: an adult and baby dolphin riding a wave, a seahorse or a crab (models cannot be built simultaneously), and accessorize their builds with coral, seaweed, a posable clam, sea plants and a jellyfish
- POSABLE SEA ANIMAL TOYS – The adult and baby dolphins have posable fins and tails, the seahorse toy has a posable head and tail, and the crab toy has posable eyes and claws
- PLAY & DISPLAY – When playtime is over, the completed build doubles as fun bedroom or play room decor on a shelf or desk
- GIFT FOR BOYS & GIRLS – Makes a fun birthday gift or anytime treat for little builders who love sea animal toys and imaginative pretend play
The January 2026 US retail catalog listed the set at $49.99. That is historical catalog pricing, not confirmation of its current price or availability.
Where to find Miku building instructions
The three books on LEGO’s instructions page cover the set’s official models; they are not instructions for the Miku figure. The Reddit post does not include a Miku-specific guide. Comments ask the creator for directions, but those requests do not establish that a tutorial exists.

- UNLIMITED PLAY POSSIBILITIES - Build 2 dolphins in waves, seahorse, and crab (can not build 3 models at once)

If you want to attempt a similar figure, the post can serve as visual inspiration, but expect to work out the construction yourself. The creator’s no-extra-pieces statement is a claim about their build, not a parts list readers can follow.
What the alternate build changes
The set’s official instructions present sea-animal models, while Ocean Queen Miku reimagines the same source pieces as a character figure. The contrast is between LEGO’s documented set builds and one fan’s custom creation; the available information does not establish other Miku build options or provide enough detail for a model-by-model comparison.
