A video reported in November 2021 appeared to show the inside of a Starship prototype nosecone, but the outlets covering it said its source and authenticity were unknown. The visible structure and tanks were described by reporters, not independently authenticated or confirmed by SpaceX.
What does the inside of SpaceX Starship look like in the video?
Space Explored described footage circulating on social media as a view inside a Starship prototype nosecone. Its November 29, 2021 report said the clip showed metal structure and multiple composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs), which it described as tanks for high-pressure gases. Space Explored’s report noted, “Source unknown, will add credit if requested.”
In a follow-up published November 30, Futurism characterized the footage as shaky and said it appeared to show a roomy prototype interior with tanks designed to hold high-pressure gases. Those are descriptions of what the clip seemed to show; the reporting does not establish a forensic identification of the structure or components.

Is the Starship interior video real?
The contemporaneous reports did not establish who recorded or shared the video, or whether it was authentic. Futurism stated, “It’s worth noting that we still don’t know the exact source of the video or its authenticity,” and said it had contacted SpaceX for comment. That means the careful answer is that the video was reported as appearing to show a Starship prototype nosecone interior, not that its contents or provenance were independently verified.
What is inside the Starship nosecone?
In the reported clip, observers pointed to metal framework and several COPVs. COPVs are composite-wrapped pressure vessels; the articles described the visible vessels as intended to contain high-pressure gases. The reporting does not identify their specific contents, explain their exact function in that prototype, or establish that every visible feature was correctly identified.

How does the clip differ from SpaceX’s proposed crew interior?
A prototype nosecone view should not be confused with a completed passenger cabin. A separate Futurism report from April 1, 2020 quoted a SpaceX user guide describing a planned crew configuration: “The crew configuration of Starship includes private cabins, large common areas, centralized storage, solar storm shelters and a viewing gallery.” The statement provides company planning context as quoted by that outlet; it does not show that those spaces appear in the 2021 clip or that the described arrangement is final. Does the video show Starship’s current interior?
No conclusion about a current, finished, or crew-rated interior follows from this footage. It was reported in 2021 as showing a prototype, and the articles left its source and authenticity unresolved. SpaceX’s later mission material concerns subsequent program activity, not the origin or contents of this old clip; it cannot authenticate it. SpaceX’s Flight 13 page is dated program context rather than evidence about the video.
