Which Lava Storm model is this?
This guide covers the Lava Storm Play 5G, the name used on Lava’s official store. Some specification databases shorten it to “Lava Storm Play.” It is a different phone from the Lava Storm 5G and Lava Storm Lite 5G, so check the full model name when comparing listings.
Lava Storm Play 5G specifications
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 7060, according to Lava’s product page. |
| RAM and storage | 6GB physical RAM, 6GB virtual RAM and 128GB storage, according to Lava. Virtual RAM is a software feature and is not additional physical memory. |
| Display | 6.75-inch (17.13cm) HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to Lava. 91mobiles identifies it as an IPS LCD with 720 × 1600 resolution. |
| Rear cameras | Lava names a 50MP Sony IMX752 sensor. 91mobiles lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. |
| Front camera | 8MP, according to 91mobiles. |
| Battery | 5,000mAh, according to Lava. |
| Charging and port | 18W charging and USB Type-C, according to 91mobiles. |
| Dust and water resistance | IP64, according to Lava. This rating does not mean the phone is protected against immersion. |
| Software | Android 15, according to Lava. 91mobiles lists one year of OS updates and two years of security updates; this is the support window stated on that listing, not a guarantee of a particular update’s delivery date. |
| SIM and 5G | 5G phone; 91mobiles lists dual Nano SIM with a hybrid second slot. Check the supported bands and carrier compatibility for your region before buying. |
What the specifications mean for buyers
Display: smooth scrolling, HD+ detail
The 120Hz figure describes the refresh rate, while HD+ describes resolution. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animations look smoother; it does not make the panel higher-resolution. The 720 × 1600 resolution is attributed to 91mobiles, while Lava’s product page describes the display as HD+.
Memory and storage
The listed configuration combines 6GB of physical RAM with 128GB of storage. Lava also advertises 6GB of virtual RAM, which uses storage as a software-managed memory extension; it should not be compared as if the phone had 12GB of physical RAM.

Cameras and durability
Lava highlights the 50MP Sony IMX752 rear sensor. The additional 2MP rear camera and 8MP front camera are listed by 91mobiles rather than highlighted in Lava’s product-page headline. Lava’s IP64 claim indicates dust protection and resistance to water splashes under test conditions, not a phone that can be submerged.
Software support and service
Lava lists Android 15 and markets the phone as having “No Bloatware, No Ads”; that wording is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent software assessment. The one-year OS-update and two-year security-update periods appear in 91mobiles’ listing. Lava also advertises “Free Service at Home”; confirm eligibility, location coverage and terms with Lava before relying on it.

What to check before buying
- Exact model: Verify that the listing says Storm Play 5G, not Storm 5G or Storm Lite 5G.
- Variant: Confirm 6GB physical RAM and 128GB storage, and treat virtual RAM separately.
- Network fit: Check 5G bands and carrier compatibility for your location; the cited listing does not establish support for every network.
- Display priorities: Weigh the 120Hz refresh rate against the HD+ resolution rather than treating either specification as a proxy for the other.
- Support and service: Review the update period listed by 91mobiles and confirm Lava service terms for your area.
- Price and stock: Listings can differ; confirm the chosen color and configuration remain available at the checkout price.
