But it is a 2023 phone, and its strengths need to be weighed against its 203g weight, no HDR playback, modest gaming headroom, and unverified current software-support commitment. On October 4, 2026, Lava listed it at ₹12,999 and Gadgets 360 listed ₹12,998; those are dated price snapshots, not guarantees of stock or value against newer phones.
Lava Blaze Pro 5G: key specifications and current price
Lava’s official shop listing gives the phone 8GB of RAM plus 8GB of virtual RAM, 128GB storage, a MediaTek D6020 processor, a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, a 50MP rear camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It also lists a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage; the Indian Express review specifies a dedicated microSD slot.

| Official shop price | ₹12,999; ₹14,999 MRP, listed by Lava on October 4, 2026. Check availability by postal code. |
| Aggregator price | ₹12,998, listed by Gadgets 360 on October 4, 2026, which also reported that price at Amazon India. Prices and stock can change. |
Check the Lava Blaze Pro 5G price and local availability before ordering. Lava’s shop asks buyers to check availability by postal code, so a national listing price does not confirm that the phone can be delivered to your address.
What the display is like
The 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS panel is one of the phone’s strongest features on paper: its 120Hz refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother than on a standard 60Hz screen. In his October 2023 review, The Indian Express’s Vivek Umashankar found the colour modes meaningfully different: vivid mode made reds and greens stand out, while normal mode looked less vivid but more natural.

- HD ultra-clear rounded glass is 99.99% touch-screen accurate.

- It is 100% brand new, precise laser cut tempered glass, exquisitely polished. 0.33mm ultra-thin tempered glass screen protector provides sensor protection, maintains the original response sensitivity and touch, bringing you a good touch experience.
- Easiest Installation - removing dust and aligning it properly before actual installation, enjoy your screen as if it wasn't there.
The review also reports Widevine L1 certification for HD streaming on major OTT services, but no HDR playback. That makes the screen well suited to large, sharp everyday viewing, while viewers who prioritize HDR should look elsewhere.
Everyday performance and gaming
In the reviewed software build, Umashankar found routine use of social apps smooth, without noticeable lag or slowdown. His 2023 testing also found BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile usable at medium graphics settings; higher or ultra settings could feel jittery. Those findings are one reviewer’s experience with the phone at the time, not a current standardized benchmark or a promise of performance in every game update.

For casual gaming and everyday tasks, the review suggests the phone can do the job. If you expect demanding games to run smoothly at high graphics settings, its tested limitations are a reason to choose a newer or more capable device.
Camera quality: daylight detail, with limits
The reviewed camera setup has a 50MP main rear camera, an AI sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. Umashankar found daylight detail satisfactory and reported that the selfie camera could record 1080p video; the review says the phone supports video recording up to 2K. He also observed contrast-heavy colour rendering in some examples, including flowers and plants.

- It is supported by advanced RFID blocking technology to block signals and protect your personal information effectively
- Can stand the phone up to watch something hands-free
- High quality PU leather, very light, it have card slots, can be put into cards and money
- Magnetic flap to keep it closed and protected, secure magnetic closure
- Absorption of light and sunlight will produce a fluorescent effect in a dark environment.
That evidence supports a modest conclusion: the main camera can produce useful daylight shots, but megapixel count alone cannot establish overall image quality. The available review does not establish strong low-light performance, so do not buy it on the assumption that night photos will be a strength.
Battery life, charging, and 5G
Umashankar reported that the 5,000mAh battery lasted a full day in his use and that the included 33W charger filled it in under 1.5 hours. These are his historical observations, not results from a standardized endurance or charging test; actual battery life depends on signal strength, screen use, apps, and settings.

The Indian Express review says the phone supports Indian 5G bands n1/n3/n5/n8/n28/n41/n77/n78 and both SA and NSA modes. In the reviewer’s own test environment, average indoor download speed was 74Mbps, outdoor peak download speed reached 630Mbps, and average latency was around 16ms. These figures describe that test setup and should not be treated as speeds or latency you can expect on your network.
Software, design, and day-to-day details
The review describes the tested phone as running clean Android 13 without bloatware. The consulted sources do not establish a current Android upgrade commitment or a security-support end date. Since this is a 2023 model, verify its present software status with Lava before buying if ongoing updates matter to you.

The Indian Express review tested the Starry Night finish and describes a matte plastic back and frame, 203g weight, USB-C, a dedicated microSD slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It notes that an in-display fingerprint icon on the lock screen could mislead users, because the sensor is on the side. The reviewer also noted thicker bezels; the phone’s weight is worth considering if you prefer a lighter handset.

Verdict: should you buy the Lava Blaze Pro 5G?
The Blaze Pro 5G can make sense if it is available locally at around ₹13,000 and your priorities are a large 120Hz FHD+ display, everyday app use, 5G, a headphone jack, and expandable storage. The Indian Express gave it a positive verdict at ₹12,999 in October 2023, when it was a new model. That is a historical judgment, not a current comparison with phones released since then.
At the October 4, 2026 listed prices of ₹12,998–₹12,999, treat it as a candidate to compare—not an automatic best buy. Before paying, compare current local prices and stock, display and HDR support, performance in the games you play, real camera results, battery testing, a verifiable software-support commitment, and 5G-band compatibility with your carrier. The available sources do not provide a head-to-head test against current alternatives, so they cannot establish that the Blaze Pro 5G is the best phone in its price range.
