The newer phone’s distinction is its rear mini display, reported for notifications and basic status information; whether that is useful depends on how often you want to check information without turning the phone over to its main screen.
The Virat Curve is also 26g lighter and slightly smaller in every listed dimension. That may matter if you prefer a lighter handset, while the Agni 2 offers the marginally larger main display.

The Virat Curve starts with Android 16, and Gadgets 360 reports two OS upgrades plus three years of security updates. The Agni 2 launched with Android 13; Lava’s product page assures Android 14 and 15 upgrades. If a newer Android base and a stated update window are priorities, the Virat Curve has the clearer advantage in the information reported here.

Battery capacity and charging
The Virat Curve’s 6,000mAh battery has 1,300mAh more stated capacity than the Agni 2’s 4,700mAh battery. Capacity alone does not establish real-world battery life. The Agni 2 supports higher-wattage charging at 66W, while the Virat Curve is rated at 45W and reportedly comes with a 33W adapter. Lava’s Agni 2 charging-time figures are manufacturer claims under its test conditions, not a comparative independent test.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
The Agni 2 lists four rear cameras: 50MP, 8MP, 2MP and 2MP. The Virat Curve launch report identifies a 50MP Sony IMX752 main camera with EIS but does not list its other rear modules. The Agni 2 also has a higher-resolution listed front camera, 16MP versus 13MP.

These specifications describe hardware, not photo quality. Megapixel counts and the number of listed modules cannot establish which phone takes better pictures, and no comparable side-by-side camera test is available here. Choose the Agni 2 if the listed ultrawide and additional rear modules matter to you, rather than assuming they guarantee better results.

The Virat Curve is reported to carry IP64 and MIL-STD-810H certification. IP64 denotes dust protection and protection against water splashes under the rating’s test conditions; it does not make a phone waterproof or suitable for submersion. MIL-STD-810H is a testing standard, not a guarantee that a device cannot be damaged. The reviewed Agni 2 specification page does not state comparable ratings, which is not proof that the phone has no protection of any kind.
