Can parties campaign on the final weekend or on election day?
Élections Québec says campaigning can take place at any time, including on voting days. Its guidance separately prohibits election-day advertising in print, electronic media and digital platforms, including social media. It distinguishes unpaid social posts and in-person canvassing from advertising, and notes that rules apply to candidates at polling places. The advertising restriction should not be read as a blanket ban on campaign activity during October 3–4. Élections Québec’s advertising guidance
