Amazon’s October sale is Prime Big Deal Days, not the summer Prime Day event. It runs October 6–7, 2026, and Amazon says it ends October 7 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Amazon confirms that select CDs and vinyl are included, but no individual album listings or October prices have been verified here—so check each live listing before treating it as a deal.
What’s still on sale—and when the event ends
Amazon describes Prime Big Deal Days as a 48-hour Prime-member sale running October 6–7, 2026. Its stated deadline is October 7 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. That is 2:59 a.m. UTC on October 8; convert the deadline to your own time zone if you are shopping elsewhere. Amazon also warns that deal availability is limited, so an offer may disappear before the event ends.
Amazon’s September 14 announcement says select CDs and vinyl are included, and describes discounts of up to 30% on select music apparel, CDs, and vinyl. “Up to” is a maximum, not a discount guaranteed on every record or CD. Confirm that the specific listing is included and compare its current price with the price you would otherwise pay.
Amazon’s event announcement and its Prime Big Deal Days guide provide the event details and deadline.

How to check whether a record or CD is a good deal
Before buying, verify the details on the current product listing. Music releases can have several editions with different contents, so a low price is meaningful only when you know which package it applies to.
- Format and edition: Check whether the item is vinyl, CD, or a multi-format set, and confirm the edition or pressing.
- Package contents: Note the number of discs and any extras, such as a booklet, Blu-ray, or singles. Do not compare a standalone album directly with a box set as though they were the same product.
- Price and availability: Check the price shown now, the seller, stock status, and delivery estimate. Limited event offers can change or sell out.
- Prime eligibility: Confirm whether the specific deal requires Prime membership; do not assume every listing has the same terms.
For example, Louder’s June roundup described Rush’s Signals super deluxe box set as including 180g vinyl, a CD, Blu-ray, book, and singles. That illustrates why checking the full package matters; it is not confirmation that the set is discounted or available in October.
