Below ₹15,000 in India, laptop listings mostly mean compact entry-level models, older devices, or refurbished machines—not a reliable pool of similarly capable new laptops. A Smartprix list updated October 4, 2026, shows a few candidates under the limit, but it also labels some as upcoming or out of stock. Treat the prices and specifications below as a dated shortlist to verify with the seller, not confirmed offers.
New laptops listed below ₹15,000
The following prices and specifications are reported by Smartprix, not independently verified against live seller pages. Availability and the exact model suffix can change what you receive.
| Model | Listed price and status | Reported configuration | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jio JioBook NB1112MM BLU 2023 | ₹10,990; listing does not flag it as upcoming or out of stock | MediaTek MT8788 octa-core, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB storage, 11.6-inch 1366×768 display; one-year warranty stated | Confirm the exact seller offer, included operating system and apps, storage expansion options, and warranty coverage. |
| Thomson IN-P14C | ₹12,990; listing does not flag it as upcoming or out of stock | Intel Celeron, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Windows 11, 14.1-inch 1366×768 display; one-year warranty stated | Confirm the processor variant, Windows edition and license, SSD configuration, and applicable warranty. |
| Ultimus Pro NU14U3CNC43BN | ₹11,749; marked out of stock | Celeron N4020, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Windows 11 | Do not treat the displayed price as a purchase option unless a seller confirms stock and the final checkout price. |
| JioBook Cloud | ₹14,999; marked upcoming | Configuration details not stated in the cited listing | Wait for a live listing that gives the exact specifications, seller, and terms before comparing it with available laptops. |
These are aggregator-reported listing details from Smartprix’s under-₹15,000 list, which says it was updated October 4, 2026. A displayed price alone does not establish stock, seller reliability, warranty, or the amount payable at checkout.
How to choose between the listed configurations
Start with the software you need
The Thomson and Ultimus entries are listed with Windows 11, while the JioBook listings are a separate device category and should not be assumed to offer the same Windows software compatibility. Before buying, confirm the operating system on the exact SKU and check that it supports the apps, peripherals, and school or work requirements you rely on.

Match the screen and storage to the job
The listed JioBook NB1112MM has an 11.6-inch screen and 64GB storage; the Thomson listing has a 14.1-inch screen and 128GB SSD. The larger screen can make documents and browsing more comfortable, while the stated SSD provides more capacity than the JioBook listing. Both screen resolutions are listed as 1366×768. Confirm whether storage can be expanded and whether the capacity is adequate for your files and applications.
Set realistic performance expectations
The surfaced new-device examples generally have 4GB RAM and entry-level processors. That is a constrained starting point: do not assume smooth heavy multitasking, modern gaming, professional creative workloads, or a long useful life from the price and specification sheet alone. The available listing evidence does not establish benchmark performance or battery life.

Verify the full offer before paying
- Match the seller page to the full model name and suffix; similar names can refer to different configurations.
- Confirm stock, final checkout price, delivery charges, and whether the displayed price depends on an offer or payment method.
- Check RAM and storage capacity, storage type, upgradeability, display size and resolution, and the exact operating system.
- Read the written warranty and return terms, including who handles service and what is excluded.
Price-comparison pages can help you discover models, but do not settle the questions that matter at checkout. A separate MySmartPrice under-₹15,000 page reported ASUS Chromebook CX1405CKA variants at ₹12,990 and ₹13,990 in a September 2026 result, both out of stock. That makes Chromebooks a category to check—not evidence that either variant is currently buyable.
When a refurbished laptop may make more sense
Refurbished or used devices are another route to stay under this budget, including older business-class models. They are not interchangeable with new listings: condition, battery wear, parts, warranty, and return rights depend on the individual unit and seller. EzyRefurb’s under-₹15,000 category advertises warranty periods ranging from three to 12 months, but the specific unit page controls the applicable terms. Raza Computers has shown a used Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15AST listing at ₹11,000; this is an example of a used-market listing, not a quality assessment or recommendation.

Before ordering a refurbished or used laptop, get written answers for the exact unit:
- Full model and serial number, processor, RAM, storage type and capacity, display, and operating system.
- Battery condition or tested capacity, and whether the battery is original or replaced.
- Cosmetic grade, known faults, included charger, and any missing parts.
- Whether the operating-system license is included and activated.
- Return window, warranty duration and exclusions, and which seller or service provider handles claims.
Do not infer that a device is certified or that every unit has identical coverage from a category page. Ask for terms tied to the individual listing and keep them with your order details.

A practical decision
- Choose a listed new model only after confirming a live offer and matching its operating system, screen, storage, and warranty to your needs.
- Consider refurbished or used if you are willing to inspect unit-specific condition and accept the written return and warranty terms.
- Pause rather than buy from a price card when the listing is marked upcoming or out of stock, or when the seller cannot confirm the exact configuration.
