On February 5, 2025, Kyndryl announced end-to-end managed secure access service edge (SASE) services built on Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma SASE. The enterprise offer adds assessment, deployment, migration and ongoing platform management to the companies’ existing alliance; it is not a published price list or a commitment with disclosed service-level terms.
What Kyndryl announced
Kyndryl said it would deliver end-to-end SASE services using Palo Alto Networks Prisma SASE for enterprise customers pursuing cloud-first network security and zero-trust access. The announcement described this as an expansion of the companies’ earlier strategic alliance. Kyndryl’s February 5, 2025 announcement is the primary source for the offer and its stated scope.
SASE, or secure access service edge, brings networking and security functions together in a cloud-delivered service. Kyndryl and Palo Alto Networks describe Prisma SASE as a unified service that can provide granular control over user authentication and authorization for access to business applications, edge environments and IoT technologies. Those are the companies’ descriptions of the platform, not independent findings about its performance.
What the managed service includes
Kyndryl outlined three stages, from evaluating an organization’s needs through operating the deployed platform:
#1 Best Overall
Consult and assess
Kyndryl says it can assess network maturity, network and security operations centers (NOC and SOC), and the condition of an organization’s existing network-security environment. It then recommends an approach aligned with the customer’s business objectives.
Design and implement
The companies say Kyndryl works with the customer to establish requirements and deploy Prisma SASE. The described work includes testing, configuration, migration of existing users and services, and training for customers who choose to manage the service themselves. Kyndryl specifically mentions transitions from existing security service edge (SSE) or software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) services.
Manage
For customers using the managed service, Kyndryl says it will provide 24/7 end-to-end management, including upgrades, health checks, ongoing optimization and integration with existing SOC and NOC platforms. The announcement describes the intended service components, but does not publish detailed operating procedures or escalation terms.

How this extends the companies’ earlier alliance
Kyndryl and Palo Alto Networks announced a strategic global alliance in October 2023. That announcement included a service powered by Prisma SD-WAN for enterprise and Industry 4.0 customers. The 2025 managed SASE offer builds on that relationship by extending the stated scope from SD-WAN into combined cloud-delivered networking and security services. See Kyndryl’s October 3, 2023 alliance announcement.
Palo Alto Networks’ current Kyndryl partner page also describes managed SASE built on Prisma SASE, alongside Kyndryl SOaaP, Zero Trust OT security and cloud security. The page presents joint SASE benefits such as integrated networking and security, support for Zero Trust adoption, application performance, visibility and policy automation as part of the vendors’ positioning. It also lists SOC transformation, industrial edge and cloud security as broader areas of partnership; these should not be read as components of the specific February 2025 managed SASE announcement.
Rank #2
Kyndryl said in February 2025 that it was integrating the new SASE services onto Kyndryl Bridge. That records the status described in that announcement; it does not establish the current deployment status of the integration.
What is—and is not—public about the offer
The announcement establishes the service stages and the vendors’ stated responsibilities, but it leaves practical commercial and rollout details open:

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Not disclosed: pricing, service-level commitments, customer eligibility, regional availability and a detailed migration timetable.
- Not established: independently measured performance or customer outcomes for Kyndryl’s managed SASE service.
- Buyer questions to resolve: which users, sites and geographies are in scope; who owns migration and ongoing incident escalation; how the service integrates with existing SOC/NOC tools; what data-handling terms apply; and what platform features and service levels are contractually included.
Kyndryl’s release also cites its 2025 Readiness Report, saying 94% of business leaders identify technology modernization as a high priority and 39% of businesses report that their IT infrastructure is prepared to manage future risks. These are figures attributed to Kyndryl and its report in the announcement, rather than independently validated figures here.

Palo Alto Networks’ May 2, 2024 announcement about Prisma SASE 3.0 claimed application acceleration of up to five times faster than accessing applications directly through the internet. It also said its security identifies up to 2.3 million new and unique attacks every day. Both are vendor-published claims about Prisma SASE 3.0; neither demonstrates the results a Kyndryl customer will receive from the 2025 managed service. The figures and their context are in Palo Alto Networks’ May 2, 2024 release.
What enterprise buyers should clarify
Because the public announcement does not specify contract terms or customer coverage, organizations considering the service should ask Kyndryl to define these points in a proposal:
Quick Recap
- Migration scope, sequencing, testing responsibilities and rollback arrangements for existing SSE or SD-WAN services.
- Which services Kyndryl manages continuously, what the customer retains, and how incident escalation works around the clock.
- How the deployment connects to the customer’s current SOC, NOC, identity systems and other security tools.
- Supported users, sites and regions, plus any limits on platform capabilities or service coverage.
- Contractual service levels, data handling, reporting, optimization responsibilities and total cost over the contract term.
