Kubernetes security startup KTrust announced on February 14, 2024, that it had emerged from stealth with $5.3 million in seed funding from Awz Ventures. The company said its platform was designed to find and validate attack paths in Kubernetes environments; those capabilities were product claims, not independently verified test results.
What KTrust announced
KTrust’s February 14, 2024 announcement described an attacker-centric approach to Kubernetes security. The company said its platform could autonomously discover attack paths, work around existing security controls, validate exposures, and provide mitigation guidance tailored to an organization’s Kubernetes environment. It also listed risk prioritization, breach and attack simulation, and ransomware protection as capabilities.
CEO and co-founder Nadav Toledo described the offering this way: “KTrust continuously assesses your K8s security threat posture by challenging your critical assets with advanced attack pathways.” This was the company’s description of its product, not a third-party evaluation of its effectiveness. KTrust’s announcement, distributed by PR Newswire, contains the company’s full claims.
Why reports differ on the funding amount
KTrust and SecurityWeek reported a $5.3 million seed round, while TechCrunch reported $5.4 million. The company’s announcement and SecurityWeek agree on $5.3 million, so that is the best-supported figure in these reports; the discrepancy should not be mistaken for a second round.

| Source | Reported amount |
|---|---|
| KTrust announcement, February 14, 2024 | $5.3 million |

| TechCrunch, February 14, 2024 | $5.4 million |
The announced investor was Awz Ventures. Managing partner Yaron Ashkenazi said: “Our investment in KTrust signifies our confidence in their distinctive Kubernetes security solution, meeting a critical market demand.” That is the investor’s view of the company, not an independent finding about product performance. SecurityWeek and TechCrunch provide their respective funding reports.
What the platform was intended to do
SecurityWeek also summarized the product as a system for prioritizing risk, simulating breaches and attacks, protecting against ransomware, and automating attack-path discovery. TechCrunch characterized it as an automated red team and reported that it duplicated customer infrastructure settings in a secure sandbox for attack simulation. These accounts describe the announced design; they do not establish how well the platform performed in customer environments.

KTrust’s present operating status and product availability are unresolved. A StartupNation Central profile reports that the company ceased operating in December 2025, but that status was not independently confirmed. KTrust-branded LinkedIn content describes the platform but does not prove that the company or product remains active. Readers should not treat the 2024 announcement as confirmation of current availability. StartupNation Central’s profile and KTrust’s LinkedIn profile are the cited status-related sources.
