Konami is considering multiple future Silent Hill projects, series producer Motoi Okamoto said in an interview with Famitsu. He framed the recent releases as a first wave and spoke about possible second and third waves, but the reporting does not identify any of the projects or confirm that they are approved, in production, or scheduled.
What did the Silent Hill producer say?
In a September 2026 Famitsu interview, Okamoto said Konami was looking at a number of projects and could not share specific details. The interview reporting also describes him as referring to the recent releases as a “first wave” and saying the series should consider second and third waves. Famitsu’s interview page features Okamoto and Silent Hill: Townfall writer and director Jon McKellan.

“Second and third waves” is a planning frame, not a confirmed lineup. The available reporting does not name the projects, their developers, platforms, or release windows. It also does not establish that every project being considered has received approval or entered production.
Which new Silent Hill games are confirmed?
Okamoto’s comments do not confirm a specific new game. Earlier, Konami’s FY2026 Group Report described continued Silent Hill development and referred to a remake of the first game and Silent Hill: Townfall in its then-current slate. That is earlier corporate context, not evidence that either title is one of the unnamed projects in Okamoto’s later interview.

Konami has separately reported that Silent Hill 2 remake surpassed 6 million total players — Konami Digital Entertainment, 2026. This is a player count, not a sales figure, and does not identify future projects.

There may be more Silent Hill announcements ahead, but there is not enough disclosed information to compare upcoming games or make plans around a release date or platform. Until Konami names a project, details such as its title, studio, status, platforms, and timing remain unknown.

For players catching up on the series, the Silent Hill 2 remake is an existing game; Okamoto’s comments do not make it a newly announced project.
