The Kogan KADEHUM6LFA is a compact dehumidifier listed for rooms of 5–10 m², but its advertised 6 L/day is a maximum measured under warm, very humid conditions—not a dependable daily yield in every home. Kogan’s guide gives a second figure of 3 L/day at 27°C and 60% relative humidity, and says capacity falls as temperature and humidity drop. Its 2.1 L tank also means collected water must be emptied during use unless you set up continuous drainage.
What the Kogan KADEHUM6LFA is designed for
Kogan positions model KADEHUM6LFA as a small-room appliance, with a stated coverage range of 5–10 m². CHOICE’s visible product listing also recommends 5–10 m². Those figures describe the manufacturers’ and listing’s intended room size; they do not guarantee a particular humidity level or drying time in every room. Room conditions, airflow and moisture sources affect the result.
It is a refrigeration dehumidifier, not an air conditioner. The user guide explicitly says it has no cooling function, so it should not be chosen to lower room temperature.

Does it really remove 6 litres a day?
The 6 L/day figure is specified at 30°C and 80% relative humidity. The same Kogan user guide, version V1.1, states 3 L/day at 27°C and 60% relative humidity. These are condition-specific capacity figures, not a promise that the unit will collect six litres in an ordinary day. Kogan cautions that “The dehumidifying capacity drops with the room temperature and humidity.” Kogan’s product listing also advertises 6 L/day; consult the guide’s conditions when interpreting that claim.

For a cooler or less humid room, expect less water to be collected than under the 30°C/80% RH condition. The available figures do not establish how much this exact unit will remove in a particular home or provide independent test results for a range of conditions.
Tank, drainage and day-to-day use
The tank holds 2.1 L, substantially less than the 6 L/day maximum capacity. If the unit collects water quickly, the tank can fill before a full day has passed. The actual emptying interval depends on how much moisture it removes, so it cannot be inferred from the headline daily figure alone.

For longer operation, the guide describes continuous drainage through a pipe connected to the outlet at the rear. Route the pipe to a suitable drain and keep it running without an upward slope; the unit should remain upright. Kogan lists a drain pipe among the included items, alongside the appliance and user manual.

The stated application temperature range is 5–32°C. Below 18°C, the guide says the unit may automatically defrost. Defrosting can take approximately five minutes every 25 minutes or longer, and dehumidification may pause during that time. The manual also says the air-purification function may be suspended while defrosting. This matters if you intend to run it in a cool space such as an unheated room.

Kogan’s guide recommends at least 30 cm of clearance above and behind the unit, and 20 cm at the front and sides. Keep the air inlet and outlet clear: obstructed airflow can reduce capacity.
Controls, maintenance and listed features
The guide describes a humidity setting from 30% to 80%, adjustable in 5% increments, as well as continuous operation and a drying mode. It recommends cleaning the filter every two weeks. The retailer listing describes the filter as washable and also lists a 24-hour timer, automatic shutoff, four castor wheels, 70 m³/h airflow and noise of no more than 42 dB(A). These are listing claims, not independent measurements of performance or noise.
