No. Tampa Bay ruled tight end Ko Kieft out of its Week 4 game against the Green Bay Packers because of an elbow injury. The Buccaneers issued the designation Friday, Oct. 2, after listing him as a non-participant in practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Why Ko Kieft is out against Green Bay
The Buccaneers’ final injury report lists Kieft with an elbow injury and an “out” designation for Sunday. He did not participate in any of the three practices reported that week.
“Out” is the game-status decision; “did not participate” describes his practice status. The report addresses this matchup and does not give a recovery timeline or say when Kieft might return. It also does not provide a medical diagnosis beyond the elbow-injury listing.

What Kieft’s role means for Tampa Bay
Kieft is a tight end, but Tampa Bay describes his primary offensive role as blocking rather than receiving. In its March 16, 2026, report on re-signing him, the team said he helps spur the ground game and contributes on special teams. That is the team’s description of his role, not an independent evaluation.
The Buccaneers’ player biography, with 2026 season entries available as of Oct. 3, 2026, lists 56 career games and 20 starts, along with eight receptions for 82 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Those receiving totals do not capture his blocking or special-teams work.
