KnownHost reseller hosting is best suited to freelancers, agencies, and small hosting businesses that want to sell hosting under their own brand through WHM and cPanel. Its four plans scale from 25 to 100 cPanel accounts, but account count is only part of the decision: storage, bandwidth, renewal cost, and optional tools also matter. KnownHost advertises managed hosting, CloudLinux isolation, LiteSpeed, NVMe storage, and 24/7 support; the available evidence does not establish an independent uptime or performance result for these reseller plans.

What KnownHost reseller hosting includes

KnownHost presents this as managed, white-label reseller hosting. You use WHM to create and administer separate cPanel accounts for customers, with options to apply your own branding and nameservers. The intended benefit is to run a hosting business without managing the underlying server yourself.

KnownHost lists CloudLinux account isolation, LiteSpeed and LSCache, NVMe storage, free SSL certificates, and migration assistance. Its reseller page names data centers in Atlanta, Seattle, and Amsterdam; confirm availability and routing for your chosen plan and audience before ordering. The comparison page also lists a 200,000-inode limit per cPanel account.

WHMCS, for billing, customer management, and provisioning, is described as an optional add-on rather than an included feature. Patchman is optional on the first three tiers and listed as included on Premium+.

KnownHost reseller plans and account limits

The following specifications and starting prices were displayed on KnownHost’s comparison page when checked on October 7, 2026. The page says its displayed prices are based on a three-year commitment. Total storage and bandwidth apply to the reseller plan; do not interpret the cPanel account cap as a promise that every account can use its full resource allocation at once.

Plan Starting price shown Total storage cPanel accounts Bandwidth Patchman
Basic+ $9.97/month, three-year commitment 40 GB 25 2,000 GB Optional
Standard+ $12.97/month, three-year commitment 80 GB 50 3,000 GB Optional
Professional+ $17.97/month, three-year commitment 120 GB 75 4,000 GB Optional
Premium+ $29.97/month, three-year commitment 200 GB 100 Unlimited Included

KnownHost’s comparison page says each cPanel account receives 2 vCPU and 2 GB of memory. This per-account figure does not remove the reseller plan’s overall storage and bandwidth limits, and the pages do not establish that all accounts can sustain their maximum allocations simultaneously.

How much does KnownHost reseller hosting cost?

The official pages showed materially different price snapshots. In addition to the three-year starting prices in the comparison table, KnownHost’s reseller service page displayed these starting and renewal prices when retrieved October 7, 2026:

Plan Starting price shown on reseller page Renewal price shown on reseller page
Basic+ $16.96/month $19.95/month
Standard+ $22.06/month $25.95/month
Professional+ $30.56/month $35.95/month
Premium+ $50.96/month $59.95/month

The pages do not explain the discrepancy, so neither snapshot should be treated as a guaranteed checkout quote. Before paying, verify the selected billing term, promotional eligibility, renewal rate, billing cadence, taxes, and available data-center location on the order page. The comparison table lists a 30-day money-back guarantee; check the current terms and exclusions rather than assuming every purchase qualifies unconditionally.

Which KnownHost reseller plan should you choose?

Start with your expected number of client accounts, then check whether the plan’s shared storage and bandwidth fit their sites. A higher account cap is not useful if your customers collectively outgrow the plan’s storage or transfer allowance.

  • Basic+: Consider it for a small initial client roster that fits within 25 accounts, 40 GB of storage, and 2,000 GB of bandwidth.
  • Standard+: Provides up to 50 accounts, 80 GB of storage, and 3,000 GB of bandwidth.
  • Professional+: Provides up to 75 accounts, 120 GB of storage, and 4,000 GB of bandwidth.
  • Premium+: Provides up to 100 accounts and 200 GB of storage, lists unlimited bandwidth, and includes Patchman.

Before selecting a tier, estimate per-account storage and inode use, expected traffic, and whether you need paid add-ons such as WHMCS or Patchman. Also ask about backup frequency and restoration terms, migration scope, support response expectations, and any limits that affect your clients’ workloads.

Is KnownHost reseller hosting good for uptime, speed, security, and support?

Uptime and reliability

KnownHost’s homepage advertises a 99.99% uptime guarantee. That is the provider’s guarantee claim, not an independently measured availability result for its reseller plans. The available official-page information does not establish the SLA definition or remedies for falling short; inspect the current SLA and terms if contractual uptime is important to your business.

Speed and server features

LiteSpeed, LSCache, NVMe storage, and per-account CPU and memory allocations are relevant hosting features, but their presence does not prove how a customer site will perform. Performance depends on the site, traffic, configuration, and other factors. The available material does not include controlled reseller-plan testing or a head-to-head performance comparison.

Security and backups

CloudLinux isolation is intended to separate accounts, and the provider lists free SSL certificates. The available plan information also promotes backups, but does not establish a complete backup schedule or restoration policy. Confirm what is backed up, how often, how long copies are retained, and whether restoration incurs a fee. For mail-heavy sites, ask KnownHost about current filtering and outbound delivery policies rather than assuming a specific mail-security vendor.

Support and customer-review evidence

KnownHost promotes 24/7 support, migrations, and managed hosting. Its site also displays customer testimonials, many dated July 2023; these are selected comments hosted by the provider, not representative survey results. A third-party review published in April 2026 describes KnownHost as more support- and reliability-oriented than a bargain host, but does not report a controlled test of reseller plans.

One Reddit user reported a short-term improvement in their Apdex score after moving to KnownHost. That is an individual account of one user’s experience, not a service-wide benchmark or a prediction of results for a new reseller customer.

Who is KnownHost reseller hosting for?

It may fit

  • Freelancers and agencies that want to package hosting with web design or site maintenance.
  • Small hosting businesses that want separate cPanel accounts and their own customer-facing brand.
  • Operators who prefer WHM/cPanel and want the provider to manage server-side hosting.

It may not fit

  • Buyers whose priority is the lowest possible monthly cost, especially if the checkout or renewal price exceeds their budget.
  • Administrators who want a fully self-managed server or more control than a managed reseller account provides.
  • Resellers who require billing automation to be included rather than offered as an add-on.

If your customers are primarily in Europe, compare the Amsterdam location’s actual availability and routing to your audience rather than choosing based on the city name alone. A small business that outgrows reseller hosting may also want to ask about the provider’s managed VPS or dedicated-server options before committing to a migration path.

How to judge the user and expert reviews

There is not enough evidence here to assign KnownHost reseller hosting a review score or make a service-wide claim about customer satisfaction. Provider-hosted testimonials are selected endorsements, third-party editorial coverage is not a controlled reseller benchmark, and an individual forum report is anecdotal. Treat each as context, not a substitute for plan terms, a current SLA, or performance data relevant to your own sites.

KnownHost also operates an affiliate program. If you follow a tracked link to sign up, the publisher may earn a commission; that does not change the plan limits or establish that the service is right for you. KnownHost’s affiliate page advertises commissions of up to $145 per sale, subject to the program’s current rules and eligibility.
