Verdict: The Kmart Anko SL155B-H13 is an inexpensive bagless canister vacuum with an H13 exhaust filter, but independent testing does not support its allergy-oriented marketing as a reason to choose it. CHOICE gave it a 56% Expert Rating and a 50% pet-hair removal score, and criticized its cleaning performance. Its bagless canister also means emptying can expose dust-sensitive users to allergens.
Is the Anko SL155B-H13 worth buying?
For most buyers, particularly households prioritizing pet-hair pickup or reduced dust exposure, the test results are a reason to look elsewhere. CHOICE’s 28 September 2026 avoid-buying article describes the model as a poor performer despite its anti-allergy positioning. Its 56% Expert Rating is CHOICE’s overall model rating; the 50% figure is its pet-hair removal score, not an allergy or filtration score. CHOICE’s detailed model page restricts its full scores and recommendations to members, so unpublished floor-specific results should not be inferred. CHOICE’s avoid-buying coverage and model test page provide the available independent evidence.
The appeal is straightforward: Kmart lists a 2.5 L bagless canister, a 2000 W maximum power rating, and an H13 exhaust filter. Those specifications do not establish how well a vacuum cleans or how much dust a person may encounter when emptying it. The model makes sense only if its low purchase price and listed features matter more to you than the weak results CHOICE reports.
What CHOICE tested—and what the numbers mean
Keep Kmart’s advertised specifications separate from CHOICE’s measurements. The figures below come from different sources and describe different things; the measured wattage, collector volume, and weight are not the same as the product-page claims.

CHOICE also records a telescopic wand, hose, floor tool, combined crevice/dusting tool, and upholstery tool as supplied accessories. Because the detailed review gates further results, there is not enough public information here to assign a separate carpet or hard-floor score.
Is it good for pet hair?
CHOICE’s 50% pet-hair removal score is a weak result for a vacuum marketed for general household use. If pet hair is a main reason for replacing a vacuum, compare independently tested pet-hair pickup rather than relying on the 2000 W maximum power rating or the HEPA label. The available score does not establish how this model performs on every carpet, floor type, or amount of hair.

Does the HEPA filter make it suitable for allergies?
The SL155B-H13 has a HEPA exhaust filter, and its manual says the model is approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice program. Neither the filter nor the program mark proves a clinical benefit or guarantees that the vacuum will keep a room free of airborne particles.

It advises people sensitive to household particulate allergens, if possible, not to do the vacuuming themselves and to stay out of the area for at least 20 minutes afterward. - Upgraded Cyclone System: The Eureka PowerSpeed is now upgraded with new cyclone technology to handle larger debris, smaller dirt, and even microscopic dust.Specific uses:hard floor, carpet, dual action
- Powerful pick-up: Penetrates deep into the carpet to extract embedded dirt, dust, and debris.
- Lightweight: PowerSpeed does all the work while still remaining lightweight.
- 5 Height Settings: The PowerSpeed works well on carpets, shag rugs, and hard floors. Its wheels run smoothly on hardwood floors to prevent scratches or gouges.
- Multiple accessories included: A quick-release handle is connected to the stretch hose for above-floor cleaning. A 7-inch-long crevice tool, dusting brush, and upholstery tool help clean hard-to-reach areas. Extract dirt, and pet hair, and freshen up your car, curtains, ceilings, or door frames. For your convenience, they are all stored right on board.
Emptying the bagless canister is another relevant exposure point. CHOICE notes that a bagged vacuum can be sealed before disposal, reducing contact with dust during emptying. That does not guarantee an allergy-safe outcome, but it is a practical difference to weigh if dust exposure is a concern.

Availability is not settled across retailers. ProductReview.com.au labels its listing discontinued, while Kmart had a live product page at the time of checking. Treat that as retailer-specific uncertainty, not proof that the model is universally available or discontinued. Its listing contains only one review, which is not enough to represent typical owner experience. ProductReview.com.au’s model listing shows its status.

How to maintain the vacuum and replace its exhaust filter
The manual says to empty the canister before dust reaches the MAX line, or whenever suction drops, and to clean filters regularly. For the exhaust HEPA filter, it specifies cleaning every three months or sooner if needed. If you wash a filter, let it dry completely before putting it back; the manual warns not to use wet or damp filters.

What to compare before choosing another vacuum
Do not choose by wattage or filter label alone. For a useful comparison, look for independently tested overall cleaning performance and pet-hair pickup, plus the features that affect your home and maintenance routine:
