Kingston ranked first in TrendForce’s global DRAM module market by revenue for 2025, with a reported 62% share. The ranking, published on September 22, 2026, covers memory modules—not the wider market for DRAM semiconductor chips—and measures revenue rather than units shipped. So, who is the world’s top DRAM module supplier? In the latest published ranking, it is Kingston.
What the ranking measures
TrendForce’s ranking compares makers in the global DRAM module market by revenue. It does not rank DRAM chip manufacturers as a whole, measure unit shipments, or establish which company is most profitable. Kingston’s 62% is its share of module-market revenue in 2025, not a live estimate of its share in 2026. TrendForce’s September 2026 report is the source for the market scope and figures.
Kingston announced the ranking on September 28, 2026, citing TrendForce. Its announcement quotes Kristy Ernt, Kingston’s DRAM business manager, saying the company’s leadership reflects its long-term strategy, supplier relationships, and commitment to customers. That is Kingston’s characterization of its position, rather than an independent analyst conclusion. Kingston’s announcement provides the company’s statement.

| Measure | 2025 result |
|---|---|
| Global DRAM module market revenue | $21.2 billion, according to TrendForce’s 2026 report |
| Global market revenue growth | 59% year over year, according to TrendForce |
| Kingston share of global DRAM module revenue | 62%, according to TrendForce |
| Kingston DRAM module revenue growth | 48% year over year, according to TrendForce |
| Top five makers’ combined share | 77% of market revenue, according to TrendForce |
TrendForce said the market’s growth accelerated from 7% in 2024 to 59% in 2025. Revenue growth does not, by itself, show that unit shipments or profits increased by the same rate.

Who ranked behind Kingston?
TrendForce placed ADATA second and Ramaxel third in its 2025 revenue ranking. Their reported revenue growth rates show how quickly some competitors expanded, but growth rate and market position are different measures.
| Company | 2025 ranking | Reported DRAM revenue growth |
|---|---|---|
| Kingston | 1st | 48% year over year |
| ADATA | 2nd | 82% year over year |
| Ramaxel | 3rd | 153% year over year |
Ramaxel had the highest growth rate among the companies in the ranking, while Kingston remained first by revenue. The figures do not establish comparative shipment growth or profitability. TrendForce’s report does not provide a revenue-share percentage for ADATA or Ramaxel in the cited results.

What drove the market’s growth?
TrendForce attributed the 2025 expansion to higher DRAM prices and stronger shipment volumes in the second half of the year. The year’s supply and demand shifted over time:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Early-year inventory building: Some module makers increased DDR4 inventories in the second quarter amid tariff concerns and DRAM suppliers’ end-of-life plans for DDR4.
- Stronger cloud-provider demand: In the latter half, North American and Chinese cloud service providers increased server DRAM orders to support agentic AI workloads.
- Tighter allocation for other uses: TrendForce said stronger server demand constrained supply available to PC and consumer applications and contributed to higher overall DRAM prices.
- Product mix shift: Module makers increasingly focused on industrial and enterprise server lines, with DDR5 becoming their primary product line in the second half.
TrendForce also linked Kingston’s 48% revenue growth to its procurement scale: the company built ample inventory during 2024 and 2025 and supplied the channel as prices strengthened in the second half. This is TrendForce’s explanation of Kingston’s performance, not a separately tested finding.

How to interpret Kingston’s market share
Asked “What is Kingston’s DRAM module market share?”, the precise answer is 62% of global DRAM module revenue in 2025, as reported by TrendForce in September 2026. It should not be shortened to “62% of the DRAM market,” which could wrongly suggest all DRAM chips, nor treated as a 2026 market-share figure.
Kingston’s archive reproduces a separate TrendForce ranking that gave the company a 78.12% share of global memory module supplier revenue in 2022. That earlier figure is not a continuous trend series with the 2025 result; the available sources do not establish that the two years use perfectly comparable market scope or methodology. Kingston’s 2022 ranking announcement gives the historical figure.

What this means if you are shopping for memory
A market ranking is not a product test or a recommendation for a specific computer. Kingston offers DDR5 and DDR4 memory in DIMM and SODIMM form factors, along with lines including ValueRAM, Server Premier, Kingston FURY, and system-specific memory. The correct module depends on the target device and its specifications.
Use Kingston’s memory finder to look up compatible options by device or system, part number, or memory specifications. The finder supports compatibility lookup; it does not mean any particular capacity or module will fit every computer.
