Armadin announced a $255.5 million Series B on October 1, 2026, at a reported post-round valuation above $2.5 billion. Andreessen Horowitz and Accel co-led the round, which Reuters says brings the cybersecurity company’s total funding to $445 million. Armadin says its platform uses AI agents to test enterprise environments and identify attack paths; those product claims have not been independently validated in the reporting.
What Armadin announced
The Series B amount was confirmed by Cooley, Armadin’s legal adviser, and reported by Reuters. Cooley and Reuters described the resulting valuation as more than $2.5 billion. That is a reported private-company valuation, not a public-market price or an independently audited figure.
The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel. Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint joined as new investors. 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures also participated, according to the investor disclosures reported by TechCrunch and Cooley.
Reuters reported that the Series B brings Armadin’s total funding to $445 million. Earlier-round amounts have been reported with differing degrees of rounding, so that cumulative figure should not be treated as a precise sum reconstructed from the individual prior rounds.

What Armadin’s platform is designed to do
Armadin describes its product as an enterprise cybersecurity platform built around swarms of AI agents. The agents probe an organization’s environment, look for weaknesses, and attempt to connect those weaknesses into attack paths that could expose exploitable risk. The idea is to give security teams a view of how separate issues might combine, rather than leaving them with a list of disconnected findings.
The company positions this as continuous or agentic security testing: agents can run assessments more frequently than periodic penetration tests and execute attack scenarios rather than simply assign scores to individual vulnerabilities. These are distinctions in Armadin’s product thesis, not independently measured advantages over conventional testing.

SecurityWeek attributes this statement to CEO Kevin Mandia: “AI lets an attacker find and chain weaknesses faster than any human team can respond.” It expresses the urgency behind the company’s approach, but does not itself establish that Armadin’s system finds or resolves risks faster than human teams.
What has—and has not—been established about adoption
SecurityWeek reports that Armadin says it is running agentic attack campaigns in production for Fortune 500 companies and government customers. The reports reviewed do not name those customers or independently verify the deployments.
- The coverage does not establish Armadin’s revenue, customer count, renewal rate, or audited performance.
- It does not provide independent testing that validates the platform’s effectiveness or supports a measured comparison with human-led penetration testing.
- It does not identify specific customer environments or disclose results from particular campaigns.
Accordingly, the funding announcement and reported valuation indicate investor backing, while the available coverage leaves the company’s operating scale and technical outcomes unquantified.
Who Kevin Mandia is
Mandia founded Armadin and serves as its CEO. He previously founded cybersecurity company Mandiant. TechCrunch reports that Google acquired Mandiant for $5.4 billion in 2022, a background that helps explain the attention around Mandia’s new venture but does not establish Armadin’s future performance.

The round gives Armadin substantial reported capital as businesses and public-sector organizations assess whether AI agents can improve security testing. The central question is not only whether agents can discover weaknesses, but whether their findings are accurate, reproducible, and useful enough for security teams to prioritize and remediate. The financing reports do not answer those performance questions.
