Kenny Omega has explained that his AEW All In: London entrance was built around an armored All Might, the title character’s hero from My Hero Academia, and that All Might’s stomach injury and fading power struck a personal chord because of Omega’s own diverticulitis. He made the comments in a Crunchyroll interview, which Wrestling Inc. reported on September 27, 2026. The entrance used My Hero Academia music and narration by Kenta Miyake, the Japanese voice of All Might.
What Omega said about the entrance
Omega said he had wanted to do an armored All Might-inspired entrance for a long time. In his account, the anime inspiration was not limited to the walk-out. He intended it to inform the theme and the match as well. The quote Wrestling Inc. attributes to him in the interview reads:
“I really think that I’d like to do an armored All Might”

Why the stomach injury mattered to him
The most personal part of Omega’s explanation concerns All Might’s injury. Wrestling Inc. quotes him saying:

“All Might incurred that terrible stomach injury,” Omega said.
He then linked the character’s injury and diminishing ability to his own health history. Omega has said he has scars in roughly the same place, from diverticulitis, which kept him out of the ring for an extended period. The quote as reported:
“I have scars that are pretty much in the exact same spot”

This is Omega’s personal analogy. It is not a medical comparison between diverticulitis and the fictional injury, and it should not be read as one.

Background: the diverticulitis absence
AEW’s official Kenny Omega biography states that diverticulitis sidelined him for more than 400 days before his return in January 2025. The page describes this as “400-plus days.” It is a rounded duration from a promotional biography, not a medical statistic, and it does not give the exact dates of his treatment or recovery.
