Kaseya’s “MSPs’ community” means a vendor-supported space that Kaseya says should belong to managed service providers (MSPs), not function as a company-controlled marketing channel. The plan combines peer discussion, product feedback, transparency, benchmarking and business-growth resources. Kaseya’s later 2026 launches show how that vision has been organized, but the available reporting documents intentions and vendor-reported participation—not independent proof of improved MSP revenue or profitability.

What Dan Tomaszewski meant by “the MSPs’ community”

In a CRN interview, Dan Tomaszewski, Kaseya’s executive vice president of channel, described Kaseya’s role as facilitator rather than owner. He said the company would provide the platform, guidance and support while MSPs shared practical experience with one another.

“I want it to be a place where we’re sharing wins and losses. Not just the highlights, but the struggles too. This industry has always had each other’s backs, and we want to provide an environment where that continues. It’s not our community, it’s the MSPs’ community. We’re just here to help guide it and support it.”

Tomaszewski also said, “Community is everything,” and added, “It’s not just a marketing term, it’s a core value.” Those are executive statements of intent, not independent findings about the community’s effectiveness.

What Kaseya said the community would do

Peer discussion and shared operating experience

The proposed digital community was intended to let partners compare approaches, discuss problems and share both successful and unsuccessful experiences. That matters to MSPs because many operational issues—service delivery, staffing, pricing and customer acquisition—are specific enough that peer context can be more useful than generic vendor documentation.

Product feedback and integration discussions

Kaseya said partners would be able to discuss product strategy, collaborate on integrations and provide feedback through community channels. The interview also described greater transparency through social channels and internal forums, along with Ask Me Anything sessions involving product teams.

Benchmarking business performance

Tomaszewski described a benchmarking tool where MSPs could enter measures such as net profit, sales and reactive hours, then compare their results with other MSPs. The stated purpose was to help providers acquire customers profitably and improve their go-to-market capabilities. The reporting does not establish that using the tool produces a particular financial result.

Customer acquisition as a central concern

“The No. 1 thing partners are asking for is help acquiring customers profitably,” Tomaszewski said. Kaseya later attributed a related figure to its 2026 State of the MSP Report: 71% of MSPs said customer acquisition was their biggest challenge. That percentage is a Kaseya-reported survey finding, not an independently verified market statistic.

How the idea developed into the Kaseya Community

Kaseya’s May 6, 2026 Connect article described a reimagined Kaseya Community with three main functions:

  • Practical resources: a library of MSP frameworks and templates.
  • Active peer help: discussions involving MSPs and Kaseya staff, including a cited example in which participants investigated a Microsoft Secure Boot monitoring issue.
  • Product ideation: a process for submitting, discussing and voting on product ideas, with Kaseya saying peer input can influence roadmap priorities.

The roadmap influence is Kaseya’s description of its own process. It should not be read as an independent guarantee that a particular suggestion will be implemented.

Can non-Kaseya customers join?

Yes. Kaseya’s current Community page says customers can sign in with Kaseya single sign-on (SSO) or Datto IDP, while noncustomers can register. The page presents the service as a global online hub for MSPs and IT professionals rather than a customer-only support portal.

The same page says members can ask peers and Kaseya experts questions, join product forums, submit and vote on ideas, and access product updates, events, training, the Community and the Knowledge Base.

Does the Community replace technical support?

No. Kaseya says the Community complements standard technical-support channels rather than replacing them. In practice, that makes the Community suitable for peer advice, product discussion and shared troubleshooting, while formal support remains the route for account-specific or incident-specific assistance.

What is established—and what is not

Established by the announcements and Community page

  • Kaseya has articulated a community model centered on peer exchange, product feedback and vendor-supported discussion.
  • The live Community offers forums, questions, product ideas, updates, events, training and Knowledge Base search.
  • Customers and noncustomers can register, according to Kaseya.
  • Kaseya groups the Community, digital marketing services and peer programs under MSP Success.

Not established by the available reporting

  • That participation increases an MSP’s profit, sales or customer count.
  • That product suggestions submitted by members are implemented at a measured rate.
  • That the displayed membership and activity totals have been independently audited.
  • That Kaseya’s model outperforms another vendor’s community on a like-for-like basis.

What MSPs should evaluate before relying on it

  1. Access: Confirm whether the forums and resources you need are open to noncustomers or require a Kaseya identity.
  2. Purpose: Use peer discussion for shared practices and troubleshooting, not as a substitute for formal support on an active service incident.
  3. Evidence: Treat participation totals and business-impact claims as Kaseya-reported until an independent measurement is available.
  4. Privacy: Avoid posting customer-identifying information, credentials or sensitive operational data in community discussions.
  5. Fit: Separate the free or community functions from MSP Success marketing and peer-program services when assessing cost, staffing and expected return.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Kaseya’s Community only for Kaseya customers?

No. Kaseya says noncustomers can register, while customers can use Kaseya SSO or Datto IDP.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can Community members submit product requests?

Yes. Kaseya says members can submit, discuss and vote on product ideas; any roadmap impact remains Kaseya’s stated process rather than an independent guarantee.

What does MSP Success include?

Kaseya announced a combination of MSP Success Digital Marketing, MSP Success Peer and the Kaseya Community, with marketing services, peer meetings and online community functions.

The Bottom Line

Kaseya’s phrase describes a credible direction: provide the infrastructure and support while MSPs exchange knowledge and influence product conversations. The Community and MSP Success programs now supply concrete channels for that plan, but their business impact remains a question for independent measurement rather than something established by Kaseya’s announcements alone.
