A Kansas football player being out is not listed as a reason for a refund or exchange under Kansas Athletics’ published ticket policy. The policy says tickets bought from the Kansas Athletic Ticket Office are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and that sales are final. It allows for unusual circumstances to be considered, but a refund request requires approval from the Director of Ticket Operations; approval is not guaranteed.
What Kansas Athletics’ policy says
The Kansas Athletics Ticket Office: Policies page states that tickets ordered from the Kansas Athletic Ticket Office are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and that all sales are final. It also says a game-time or date change does not qualify for a refund or exchange. The policy does not name a player’s absence as an exception.
The page says unusual circumstances may warrant a deviation from the policy. That is discretionary: refund requests need approval from the Director of Ticket Operations, and the policy does not promise approval for a particular situation.

Check who sold your ticket
Start with the seller and the terms that applied to your transaction. Kansas Athletics’ season-ticket policies warn that tickets acquired from other sources may be lost, stolen, or counterfeit and may not be honored. The Kansas Athletics materials cited here do not establish the refund rules of a resale platform or private seller, so check that seller’s own policy for a ticket bought elsewhere.

Identify what changed
- A player is unavailable: The ticket-office policy does not list this as a refund or exchange exception.
- The game time or date changed: The policy says a schedule change does not qualify for a refund or exchange.
- Kansas Athletics revoked a ticket: The season-ticket terms describe Kansas Athletics’ own revocation powers and refund treatment in those circumstances. An issuer-initiated revocation is different from a buyer requesting a refund because a player is out.
How to ask Kansas Athletics
- Gather the ticket or season-account details and identify where you bought it.
- Contact Kansas Athletics and explain the specific circumstances. Ask whether an exception can be considered, what process applies, and what documentation is needed.
- If requesting a refund, ask whether the request can be referred for the Director of Ticket Operations’ approval.
