The reported operating figures are not a full set of reviewed quarterly financial results. The headline’s separate claim of a 2% share gain cannot be verified from the available price snapshot.
What did Kalyan Jewellers report for Q2 FY27?
Same-day coverage by EquityBulls and Sahi Markets reported that consolidated revenue grew more than 26% year over year in the quarter ended September 30, 2026. These are operating-update figures, not audited revenue or profit results: EquityBulls said the metrics remained subject to statutory audit limited review procedures.

What does 20% same-store sales growth mean?
SSSG measures sales growth at stores included in both the current and comparison periods, rather than growth caused by opening additional locations. Kalyan’s reported India figure of about 20% therefore indicates stronger sales at comparable stores; it should not be confused with the company’s total India revenue growth of about 27%, which can also reflect changes in its store base and other factors.

That made the year-ago quarter a high base for comparison. Kalyan’s official Q2 FY26 update reported India SSSG of about 16% and India revenue growth of about 31% for that prior-year quarter.

How does the update compare with Q2 FY26?
The figures show slower reported growth rates in several areas than a year earlier, although the comparison quarter’s Navratri timing matters. Kalyan’s official Q2 FY26 update reported consolidated growth of about 30%, international growth of about 17%, and Candere growth of about 127%. Its November 2025 investor presentation listed Q2 FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹78,560 million and India revenue of ₹68,428 million; those are prior-year figures, not Q2 FY27 results.

Growth percentages alone do not show the underlying revenue, margins, or profitability for Q2 FY27. A reported increase in sales is not by itself evidence of improved earnings.

Showroom additions
EquityBulls reported that Kalyan opened 12 showrooms in India, with 11 net additions, and Candere opened nine showrooms in India. One Kalyan showroom also opened in the United Kingdom. The reported global showroom count was 546 as of September 30, 2026.

EquityBulls reported that non-Gold Metal Loan debt had been reduced to zero. This is an update about a specific debt measure; it does not mean the company had no liabilities or no Gold Metal Loan borrowing.
Akshaya Thanga Maligai
EquityBulls also reported that the Akshaya Thanga Maligai brand launched in Chennai in August 2026, with four additional franchise showrooms planned for FY27. The planned openings are not confirmed completed additions.

The available price information does not establish a 2% gain for a specific trading session or time window. EquityBulls’ displayed BSE snapshot showed ₹548 against a previous close of ₹557, figures that would not represent a 2% rise if they refer to the same session and basis. The snapshot’s timing is not established, so it may differ from the observation behind the headline claim.

Nor does the available information establish that the reported business update caused a share-price move. A reliable statement about the change would require a dated exchange quote and a defined comparison period, such as the previous close or a specified intraday time.
Are these Q2 FY27 audited results?
No full Q2 FY27 results filing was surfaced in the cited sources. The company’s official results page showed a FY 2026–27 section, but the captured page did not expose a Q2 file; the NSE filing identified in the results was for Q1 FY27, ended June 30, 2026. The figures above should therefore be read as reported business-update metrics pending the stated limited-review process, not as audited Q2 financial statements.
