Just Dance: Decades of Hits is a standalone 2026 game with its own decade-themed songs, worlds, and modes. Just Dance+ is a separate paid subscription that adds an evolving song and map catalog to compatible Just Dance editions. They are different kinds of content, so choose based on whether you want the specific Decades of Hits experience or more songs for a compatible game.
What’s included in Just Dance: Decades of Hits?
Ubisoft describes Just Dance: Decades of Hits as a game spanning music from the 1970s through the 2020s, arranged into six decade-inspired worlds. The publisher highlights these examples:
- 1970s: “Mamma Mia” by ABBA
- 1980s: “It’s Tricky” by Run DMC
- 1990s: “Wannabe” by The Spice Girls
- 2000s: “Bye Bye Bye” by *NSYNC
- 2010s: “Turn Down for What” by DJ Snake & Lil Jon
- 2020s: “NUEVAYoL” by Bad Bunny
Ubisoft also lists a new Adventure Mode, Party Mode, Workout Mode, and play for up to six people. A smartphone can be used as a controller. These are the publisher’s descriptions; they do not establish independent gameplay findings. See Ubisoft’s Decades of Hits page for its current game details.
Platforms and release timing
In its September 10, 2026 launch announcement, Ubisoft listed Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with an October 13, 2026 launch date. The announcement said Nintendo Switch 2 retail availability would begin November 10, 2026, and named Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy as Nintendo Switch retail options. It did not establish the game’s price or whether those retailers had it available at the time. Check the listing for your region and console before buying. Ubisoft’s launch announcement has the platform and timing details.

What does Just Dance+ include?
Just Dance+ is a streaming subscription that adds access to an evolving catalog of songs, bonus tracks not in the main game, and map drops. It is available through Just Dance 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 Editions on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft requires a Ubisoft account, a console account, persistent internet access, and payment; territorial and age restrictions may apply. It is not a permanent song unlock bundled automatically with a copy of Decades of Hits. Check Ubisoft’s Just Dance+ page for service and compatibility details.

Just Dance+ is not a fixed, complete archive. Ubisoft says licensing agreements affect which songs it can keep, renew, or add. The company also said songs from the 2023 and 2024 editions would return in batches during 2026, with most original tracks planned for addition, while warning that a limited number would be excluded because of licensing conditions. Its update named examples of planned batches and a “360” by Charli XCX map planned for the service; those rollout details are time-sensitive, not a guarantee that every listed song is currently available. Check the in-game catalog for a track you specifically want. Ubisoft’s update explains the licensing and rollout caveats, and its catalog update covers planned returns from earlier editions.

Decades of Hits vs. Just Dance+: the practical difference
| Just Dance: Decades of Hits | Just Dance+ | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A standalone edition with a decade-themed experience, songs, worlds, and modes. | A paid service that adds songs and maps through compatible Just Dance editions. |
| Content certainty | Use the game’s published song information to assess its own content. | The catalog evolves with licensing; check the current in-game listing for specific songs. |
| Cost information established here | Price not stated in Ubisoft’s cited launch announcement. | US prices listed above; local rates may differ. |
| Access | Ubisoft announced Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S versions. | Requires a compatible 2023–2026 edition, accounts, persistent internet, and payment. |
Which one should you choose?
Choose Decades of Hits for its specific theme and modes
Buy the standalone game if the six-world, multi-decade concept, Adventure Mode, Party Mode, or Workout Mode is the experience you want. Check its published song examples and edition details, then confirm the price and availability for your platform in your region.
Consider Just Dance+ for more songs in a compatible edition
The subscription may suit you if you already own a supported Just Dance edition and want a broader, changing selection of tracks and maps. Before subscribing, confirm that the songs you care about are in the current catalog and compare the subscription term with the local price of a game edition. Just Dance+ does not replace the standalone game’s distinct theme and modes, and buying Decades of Hits should not be taken to mean the subscription is included.
