Juspay’s revenue rose 29% to ₹664 crore in FY26, but the payments technology company reported a ₹90 crore net loss after making larger investments in AI and international expansion, according to a Moneycontrol report published October 9, 2026. Moneycontrol also reported positive adjusted EBITDA and said Juspay’s India payments business remained profitable. These FY26 figures have not been independently corroborated here with an original company filing.

Moneycontrol attributed the FY26 loss to accelerated spending on AI and international expansion, citing Juspay co-founder and COO Sheetal Lalwani. That explanation describes the company’s investment choices; it does not establish that the spending will produce future returns.
#1 Best Overall
- With Square Terminal, you can ring up sales, accept payments, and print receipts, all with one device. Use it at the counter or ring up customers anywhere in your store.

- Process chip cards in just two seconds.

- Use it cordlessly with the built-in battery, designed to last all day.
The loss should not be confused with the other financial measures in the report. Moneycontrol said Juspay remained adjusted EBITDA positive and recorded ₹33 crore in profit excluding employee stock option (ESOP) expenses. Neither figure is the same as net profit: the reported net result was a ₹90 crore loss.
The report also said Juspay’s core India payments business remained profitable. Overseas revenue accounted for less than 10% of FY26 revenue, while the company expected it to reach a double-digit share in the current fiscal year. That share is a management expectation, not a realized FY26 result.

What Juspay does—and where AI fits
Juspay describes itself as a payments technology company serving enterprises and banks. It also identified product development, global expansion, and AI capabilities as FY26 investment priorities. See the Juspay Newsroom for company announcements.

What the results say—and do not say—about growth
The FY26 picture is mixed: revenue grew, but Juspay moved from FY25 profit after tax to a reported FY26 net loss. Positive adjusted EBITDA and profitability in the India payments business provide additional context, but they do not erase the net loss. Likewise, investment in AI and overseas expansion is not evidence by itself that those initiatives have already improved financial performance.
Lalwani told Moneycontrol, “We are expecting these investments to show up in our topline numbers for FY 27.” This is a management expectation about future revenue, not a confirmed outcome. The report’s expectation that overseas revenue would make up a double-digit share in the current fiscal year is forward-looking as well.
