For the beginner selection described in JojoGS.DEV’s guide updated August 16, 2026, pick Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli for the broadest standalone damage option. Koichi Hirose is the alternative for AoE damage and immobilization, especially with a fast-attacking teammate; Mohammed Avdol suits multi-target and Burn-focused teams. Those are guide recommendations, not independently tested rankings. Rerolling is optional: a useful team and a plan for permanent selectors can be a better use of time than restarting repeatedly.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS is listed by Google Play as an officially licensed mobile game published by Wanda Cinemas Games, with story stages, World Boss battles, ranked PvP, and in-app purchases. See the Google Play listing.

Which SSR should you reroll for?

Use the role your roster needs rather than treating an SSR label or tier ranking as an automatic keep. The beginner-banner recommendations below come from JojoGS.DEV’s guide, updated August 16, 2026; they are the publisher’s evaluations, not results from an independent performance dataset. Confirm the characters and selection options shown in your current game.

Character Why choose them Best fit
Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli The guide describes him as a ranged basic-attack damage dealer who performs across several modes. Broad standalone damage coverage for story, World Boss, and PvP.
Koichi Hirose The guide says his field deals AoE damage and immobilizes enemies. AoE and control, particularly if you have a fast-attacking ally.
Mohammed Avdol The guide frames him as a multi-target damage option with Burn synergy. A team built around hitting several enemies and Burn.

Is rerolling worth the time?

Rerolling means repeating the opening account and summon sequence in search of a preferred result. It trades time now for a chance at a particular starting roster; it does not eliminate the longer-term work of improving characters. JojoGS.DEV’s August 11, 2026 guide notes that duplicates and ability shards contribute to progression, and points to selectors in the permanent recruitment pools as a more predictable route to chosen targets.

BlueStacks describes the general loop as starting an account, completing the tutorial, claiming the beginner rewards currently available, summoning, reviewing the roster, and repeating only if the result is poor. The number of opening summons depends on rewards and banners available at the time, so do not rely on a fixed pull count from an older guide. BlueStacks’ reroll guide.

  • Consider keeping the account if the result gives you a useful role mix or a character you want to build.
  • Consider another attempt if you have a specific target and are comfortable spending more time on uncertain opening pulls.
  • Do not reset or bind an account based on an assumed procedure. The cited guides do not establish a verified official reset or account-binding method. Use the current in-game account controls and understand the consequences before changing account state.

How to judge an opening roster

Before deciding whether to keep an account, look at the roster as a team rather than as a list of rarity labels. JojoGS.DEV’s selector and beginner-banner guides offer these useful comparison points:

  • Role coverage: Check whether you have damage, healing or support, AoE or control, and any tanking or status role your team needs.
  • Team synergy: Koichi’s recommendation is stronger when paired with a fast-attacking ally; Avdol is presented as a fit for Burn-oriented, multi-target play.
  • Availability: A character available through a permanent selector is a different reroll target from one tied to a rotating banner or a broader random pool. Confirm the live pool before deciding.
  • Investment horizon: A first character copy is not the whole build; duplicates and ability shards factor into continued progression.
  • Account context: Filling a role you lack can be more useful than restarting for a particular tier label.

Character recruitment and ability recruitment are different goals

The Standard Character pool supplies characters; the Standard Ability pool supplies Image Ability shards used to unlock or improve signature moves, according to JojoGS.DEV’s reroll guide. A character reroll therefore targets the roster itself, while ability recruitment is part of developing abilities over time. The guide’s selector article also recommends Giorno Giovanna as an early character-duplicate priority because the duplicate unlocks a support capability; it notes his healing role. This is selector advice dated August 20, 2026, not a claim that Giorno is the best opening reroll for every roster. Read the selector-priority guide.

What permanent selectors and pull guarantees do the guides report?

JojoGS.DEV’s reroll page says it last verified its Standard Character details on August 11, 2026. Its reported mechanics are useful for planning, but they are not independently confirmed by the Google Play listing. Recruitment rules can change, so check the live in-game rates, pool, and guarantee text before spending pulls.

Recruitment detail What the August 2026 JojoGS.DEV guides report
Standard Character base rates 2% SSR, 35% SR, and 63% R, as reported by the reroll guide last verified August 11, 2026.
Standard Character guarantee A random SSR at 60 recruitments, with selectable SSR milestones at 180 and 300 pulls, as reported by the reroll guide last verified August 11, 2026. The August 20 selector guide also describes a random SSR at 60 and ten selectable characters at the 180- and 300-pull milestones.
Standard Ability selector A selector at 150 pulls, as reported by the August 11 reroll guide and August 20 selector guide.
Standard Ability wishlist A five-slot wishlist, as reported by the August 20 selector guide.

Which characters are listed for the Standard Character selector?

JojoGS.DEV’s August 20, 2026 selector guide lists ten choices: Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Mohammed Avdol, Koichi Hirose, Giorno Giovanna, Bruno Bucciarati, Prosciutto, Diavolo, Cioccolata, F.F., and Ermes Costello. The guide’s list may no longer match the live pool; check the selector screen before planning around a particular character.

That list makes selector planning relevant to reroll decisions: if a desired character is selectable through the permanent pool, repeatedly restarting for that character may be less attractive than keeping a workable account and progressing toward the selector. Exact rules and availability remain subject to the live game interface.
