The “today” in TechRadar’s John Lewis January sale roundup refers to 1 January 2026, not today. Its prices are historical, and the available evidence does not confirm they are still available on 8 October 2026 or establish what John Lewis will offer in January 2027. John Lewis does have live offers pages, but check the product page and terms before treating any offer as current.
What TechRadar reported in the January 2026 sale
TechRadar’s roundup, published on 1 January 2026, described New Year offers across technology, fashion, home goods and appliances, and reported savings of up to 50% on selected lines. That was a promotional maximum reported at the time, not a current or site-wide discount. Read the TechRadar article.

These examples are not a current “best deals” list. The three products also differ too much for their reported savings alone to show which was the better buy.

John Lewis states on its electrical offers page that electricals include a two-year guarantee at no extra cost and that free Click & Collect is available for orders over £40. Confirm the guarantee and collection eligibility on the particular item and order; do not assume they apply identically to every product or transaction.
How to judge a deal across different product types
A discount percentage is only useful when the products and price comparisons are genuinely like for like. Before deciding, check:

- Exact model and configuration: Match the full model or SKU, including size and version. For a laptop, compare processor, memory and storage; for a TV, compare screen size, panel and connectivity.
- Price basis: Compare the live selling price with a clearly stated, verifiable former price. A different model or an unverified reference price is not an equivalent comparison.
- What is included: Check accessories, delivery, installation and collection rather than comparing the headline product price alone.
- Ownership terms: Review the guarantee, returns and any conditions attached to the offer.
- Running costs and availability: For large appliances, consider energy use; for every item, confirm current stock.
What to check on a Dyson offer
John Lewis’s electrical offers page has listed a Dyson V12 vacuum offer, but that listing alone does not confirm its current price or availability. Verify the exact V12 model and the offer on the John Lewis electrical offers page.

Can these prices tell you what will be in the January 2027 sale?
No. The January 2026 roundup and the current offers pages do not establish which products or prices will appear in January 2027. Treat future sale predictions as unconfirmed until John Lewis announces offers or publishes live product listings.
