JBL Australia’s official catalogue lists three Cove Wi-Fi speakers as available to buy: the Cove M1 at A$299.95, the Cove P1 at A$599.95 and the Cove X1 at A$649.95. Those prices were listed as of 9 October 2026. The speakers can be bought from JBL Australia’s online shop and from authorised Australian retailers. We could not confirm a current Australian 20% coupon code, so this article does not offer one.
This is a guide to the range, its Australian availability and its terms. It is not a hands-on review. The sources behind it are manufacturer listings and offer policies, not listening, battery or room-coverage tests, so the sound and performance of these speakers are not judged here.
What JBL Australia lists
JBL Australia’s Wi-Fi speaker range includes three Cove models. The catalogue describes each one differently, and the Dolby Atmos wording appears on two of them.

#1 Best Overall
- Powerful JBL Pro Sound with AI Sound Boost: How does the already great JBL Charge sound profile get even better? It helps that we have some of the best engineers in the game retooling our kit to deliver our most realistic sound reproduction yet. Surprisingly rich, powerful bass and crisp higher frequencies give the Charge 6 a whole new reason to humble brag. We also added our new proprietary tech, AI Sound Boost, which analyzes your music in realtime to deliver maximum acoustic performance with less distortion. It's like our own little audio genie in every Charge 6. All-in-all, the Charge 6 comes out swinging, with bigger booms and baps, cleaner belts and claps, and everything in between.
- Up to 28 hours of playtime + Fast charge: Keep the mood alive for 24 hours on a single charge - and when we really need to squeeze some extra juice out of our jubilee, or another dance with our darling, we can get an extra 4 hours with JBL Playtime Boost. No need for the low battery blues when you can give your Charge 6 a quick boost! 10 minutes on the charger gets you up to 150 minutes of playtime.
- Multi-speaker connection by Auracast: Wouldn't it be great to share the vibes with our tribe? Now we can. With Auracast, we can effortlessly stereo pair two Charge 6 speakers for a wider sound stage & connect multiple Auracast-enabled JBL speakers to cover more ground with the same playlist.
- Waterproof, dustproof, and drop-proof: Have you ever dropped your speaker, had it roll down a dusty hill and land in a lake? No? Well, believe it or not, it happens. So, we built the JBL Charge 6 to be as life-proof as they come. On top of our legendary water-proof and dust-proof design (an industry-leading IP68*, BTW), we've also made sure that if you drop it from 1-meter onto your concrete floor, it'll keep kicking. But please, don't go throwing your speaker around just to flex on your friends. Throw parties instead. *Based on lab test conditions for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
- Sturdy handle strap: Now we can carry our sound our way with a handy removable handle strap - for those of us who love to make it from the car to the house in one trip no matter the cost.
Cove M1: the compact option
JBL describes the M1 as a compact Wi-Fi home speaker and it is the cheapest of the three at A$299.95. The catalogue does not describe it with Dolby Atmos, so do not assume it has the same spatial audio positioning as the P1 or X1.
Cove P1: portable, with Dolby Atmos
The P1 is listed as a portable Wi-Fi home speaker with Dolby Atmos at A$599.95. The catalogue does not state a battery life or a carry-weight in the wording reviewed, so check the product page for those figures before you rely on portability.
Rank #2
- Wireless Bluetooth streaming
- 12 hours of playtime
- IPX7 waterproof
- Pair multiple speakers with party boost
- Premium JBL sound quality
Cove X1: room-filling, with Dolby Atmos
The X1 is the most expensive model at A$649.95. JBL positions it as a 3D room-filling Wi-Fi home speaker with Dolby Atmos. “Room-filling” is the manufacturer’s claim; no coverage test is cited here to show how large a room it fills.
Where to buy in Australia
JBL Australia says its wireless home speakers are sold through its own Australian website and by authorised Australian retailers. The official sources reviewed do not name specific retailers or confirm stock levels at each of them, so compare the listed price with what your chosen seller charges.
Rank #3
- Wireless Bluetooth streaming
- 15 hours of playtime
- IPX7 waterproof
- Durable fabric and rugged material
- Connector type: 3.5 millimeter stereo
The official sources also do not give a launch date for the Cove range in Australia. This article therefore cannot say how recently the models went on sale here. What it can say is that they are listed on JBL Australia’s site as of the date above.

- JBL Australia’s offers page says its discounted offers generally cannot be combined with extra codes or vouchers, unless a product page specifically says otherwise.
- A JBL UK product page for the Cove M1 showed a 20% code that expired on 28 September 2026. That code excluded new product launches and selected products. It was a UK offer and says nothing about Australian pricing.
Before you pay for a coupon-based price, check the following:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- The code is listed on the JBL Australia site or on a product page on that site, not on a UK or US page.
- The code is valid today and has an end date you can read.
- The Cove model you want is not excluded by the terms.
- The offer does not already apply a sale price that the code cannot stack with.
If you cannot find a code that meets all four checks, expect to pay the listed price.

Connectivity and regional differences
JBL’s global product page for the Cove P1 + X1 + M1 Bundle (Black) describes the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inputs of these speakers and includes regional caveats for USB playback. The same page states that a 5.6–5.64 GHz band is disabled on units shipped to Australia and New Zealand.
Because that information comes from a global page, check the Australian model documentation before you rely on specific connectivity details, particularly if you plan to use USB playback or depend on a particular Wi-Fi band.
Choosing between the three models
The choice mostly comes down to three questions:
- If you want the lowest price and a compact speaker, the M1 is the entry point at A$299.95.
- If you want a portable Dolby Atmos model, the P1 at A$599.95 is the one JBL describes that way.
- If you want a larger, room-filling Dolby Atmos speaker, the X1 at A$649.95 is the top of the range.
None of these descriptions tells you which model sounds best. For that, compare independent listening tests from when they are published, or try a unit in your own room.
