The HG 1/144 Bau Bahlam is a newly revealed Gunpla kit tied to GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, and its standout weapon is hard to miss: a macuahuitl-inspired blade with one side replaced by a chainsaw. The game is listed for release on Steam on March 4, 2027; the kit is expected sometime in 2027, but no specific release date or price has been stated.
What is the HG 1/144 Bau Bahlam?
PC Gamer reports that Bandai revealed the High Grade 1/144 Bau Bahlam among its announcements for the 2026 All Japan Model & Hobby Show. It is a model-kit version of a mobile suit that appears in GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. The suit has a mono-eye design, with spiked plates over its knuckles as another distinctive detail. These are details reported from the announcement, not a complete product specification sheet. PC Gamer’s report
Why the chainsaw macuahuitl stands out
A macuahuitl is a weapon design associated with Mesoamerican history, recognizable for its blade-like form and cutting edges. The Bau Bahlam’s version reworks that silhouette as a science-fiction weapon: PC Gamer describes one side as replaced by a chainsaw. The report also says the kit includes a mock pull-cord, allowing builders to pose the weapon as if they are revving it. PC Gamer’s report

Minimum and recommended system requirements are still marked as to be announced, so the current listing does not establish what PC hardware the game will require. Steam store listing

Not confirmed. Steam says players can customize mobile suits with parts and AP-U, but its listing does not say that Bau Bahlam components—or its chainsaw macuahuitl in particular—are equippable. PC Gamer notes the suit appeared briefly in a release-date trailer and speculates about possible customization use; that possibility should not be mistaken for a confirmed game feature.
