Ivacy’s published policy says it does not log browsing or connection data, but that is a company promise—not independent proof of how the service operates. As of October 2026, Ivacy is transitioning to Ivacy Powered by PureVPN, and new Ivacy subscriptions are no longer available. A 2026 independent review reports DNS leaks and says it could not find a public third-party no-logs audit from a recognized security firm. The protection you can expect therefore depends on your current app and settings, and on how much weight you place on policy claims that have limited public verification.
What does Ivacy say it collects and keeps?
Ivacy’s published privacy policy says it does not log or monitor browsing activity, connection logs, assigned VPN IPs, original IP addresses, browsing history, outgoing traffic, connection times, accessed data, or DNS queries. That is the provider’s stated policy; the wording alone does not demonstrate that its systems follow it.
The same policy says signup requires a name, email address, and payment method, and that third-party payment processors handle payment information. So “no logs” should not be read as “the company collects no information.” Nor does using a VPN make someone fully anonymous: the policy addresses the provider’s handling of listed browsing and connection data, not every way a person can be identified online.

How much independent verification is public?
Ivacy’s About page says the service undergoes regular audits. Separately, VPNTesting.com’s 2026 review says it could not find a published third-party no-logs audit from a recognized security firm. Those statements can coexist: a general claim about audits is not the same as a public report naming the auditor, date, scope, and findings. The available information does not establish that Ivacy has never been audited; it does leave readers without a publicly available no-logs report that this reviewer could verify.

VPNTesting.com also reports DNS leaks and gives Ivacy a below-average overall verdict. Those are that outlet’s findings, not tests performed for this article. A useful assessment of any VPN’s verification should identify the app and platform tested, the test date and method, and whether the evidence covers IP, DNS, and WebRTC leaks as well as kill-switch behavior. Results from one app version or test period should not automatically be treated as proof of current behavior across devices.
AV-Comparatives’ VPN Report 2020 recorded a leak-test pass and a kill-switch-test pass for the Ivacy configuration it examined. That is historical evidence about the version and configuration tested then, not a current guarantee about an app in 2026.

Which protocols are reported, and what does that mean for encryption?
Protocol availability is not uniform across platforms, and the sources do not provide a complete current feature matrix for every app or migrated account. Security.org’s review, updated September 10, 2026, reports these options:

Ivacy Support says SSTP, L2TP, and PPTP were discontinued and identifies OpenVPN TCP/UDP, IPSec, and IKEv2 among supported protocols. Its encryption FAQ, dated November 6, 2019, says encryption depends on the selected protocol and describes a range from zero encryption to SSL/AES 256-bit. That old FAQ is not a complete current specification, and the protocol reports do not align perfectly. Check the choices shown in your own current app or setup instructions; avoid obsolete or unencrypted configurations rather than assuming every connection uses the strongest option.

What changes with the PureVPN transition?
Ivacy’s current site describes the product as Ivacy Powered by PureVPN, says existing subscriptions are handled by PureVPN, and says new purchases are no longer available as new Ivacy subscriptions. PureVPN Support’s account-porting guidance, updated April 13, 2026, says existing accounts and add-ons are honored when ported.
For an existing subscriber, confirm the account status, renewal settings, and features actually shown in the migrated app. The published material does not establish that every legacy app workflow or feature remains the same across platforms after migration.

How should you decide whether Ivacy meets your needs?
The key choice is whether the published policy and available product controls are enough for your risk level, given the limited public verification described above. If you need stronger public assurance, look for a provider that publishes a named, scoped, dated audit report and clear, recent testing details—not simply a general statement that audits occur.

- Check your platform: Confirm which maintained protocols your current app offers and whether the setup requires a manual configuration file.
- Check the evidence: Look for publicly accessible audit scope and findings, plus leak and kill-switch tests tied to a platform, app version, method, and date.
- Check migration details: Verify that your subscription, add-ons, billing, and device workflows are recognized in the current account.
- Consider router setup only if needed: Ivacy’s setup materials include manual router configuration, which can be useful for devices that cannot run an app. Confirm the specific router model’s compatibility with the current service; no model-specific recommendation is established here.
Security.org says its reviewer successfully used Netflix and other streaming sites, but that is a dated reviewer experience, not a promise of current access. Streaming services change VPN blocking, and availability can vary by server and time; the available evidence does not establish reliable access to any particular regional library.
