A video posted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu uses imagery inspired by the Grand Theft Auto franchise to attack political rivals with a “before GTA 6” release-date joke. Hebrew-language reports describe the clip as depicting Gadi Eisenkot and Avigdor Lieberman taking votes associated with the right and delivering them to Ra’am leader Mansour Abbas. That is campaign rhetoric, not evidence of the politicians’ actual plans.
What the reported GTA-inspired video shows
ICE reported that Netanyahu posted an animated video inspired by Grand Theft Auto. Its central jab, rendered as a translated paraphrase by the Hebrew-language coverage, is that Eisenkot and Lieberman would form a Palestinian state before GTA 6 is released. ICE characterized Eisenkot as “stealing” right-wing votes and transferring them to Abbas.
Channel 14 described a similar satirical sequence: Eisenkot and Lieberman collect votes associated with the right, and Eisenkot takes them to Abbas, who leads Ra’am. These are the outlets’ descriptions of the video and its accusation; they do not establish the politicians’ intentions. The reports do not provide campaign-impact figures or audience-response data.
Why GTA 6 works as a political reference
The reported clip combines two recognizable ideas: the visual language of the Grand Theft Auto games and the long wait associated with the next installment, GTA 6. The release-date joke turns that delay into a measure of how long the video claims a political outcome would take. The game is a framing device for a coalition-politics attack, not evidence for the accusation itself.

What is—and is not—verified about other campaign ads
Haaretz’s headline, carried in The Times of Israel newsfeed on October 8, 2026, frames GTA 6 as a reference used by Israeli parties in campaign advertising. The Haaretz article itself was not accessible, so its full examples could not be checked. The accessible reporting supports detail on the Netanyahu-posted video, but does not establish which other parties used the game or how their ads used it.
Accordingly, the available evidence supports one specific reported example, not a verified inventory of Israeli parties’ campaign ads. It also does not establish whether other ads used GTA 6’s visual style, its anticipated release as a punchline, or both.
