Isle of Man Steam Packet Company route pages list fares from £26/€31.75 each way for a foot passenger and £98.50/€117 each way for a car on both the Liverpool and Dublin routes. These are advertised starting fares, not guaranteed prices for a particular sailing. Your total depends on the date, sailing, passenger and vehicle details, fare type and any extras; check the operator’s live booking flow for an exact quote.
What the published starting fares include—and what they do not
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s Liverpool route page lists a foot passenger from £26/€31.75 each way and a car from £98.50/€117 each way; its schedule information was marked correct as of 6 October 2026. The Dublin route page lists the same starting fares, with schedule information marked correct as of 7 October 2026. See Liverpool route information and see Dublin route information.
Those figures are route-page minimums, not a complete fare table. They do not tell you the price for every season, passenger age, vehicle size, cabin or sailing, and they should not be multiplied into a return or group quote without checking the chosen itinerary. The booking system supplies the price for the exact crossing and party.

How the fare for your sailing is set
Offer fare or standard flexible fare
For a selected sailing, the booking system shows the lowest available offer fare alongside the standard fully flexible fare. Offer availability is limited and demand-managed, so popular crossings may lose offer fares first. The operator advises booking early and says overnight and midweek sailings may have a higher proportion of offer fares available; neither point guarantees a lower price on a particular trip. Compare ticket conditions as well as the headline amount: special offers have restrictions, and changes or cancellations depend on ticket type. Travel date and weekend supplement
The operator’s terms specify a supplement for travel on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 1 April through 30 September. Check the quote for your actual dates rather than assuming the route-page starting price applies unchanged.
Booking channel and fuel adjustment
According to the operator’s FAQ, telephone and in-person bookings incur a supplement of £7.50/€11 per passenger and £15/€21 per vehicle; online bookings do not incur these booking-channel supplements. The operator also says its advertised fares and quotes include any applicable fuel surcharge or rebate at the time of purchase. A fuel-rate change affects new bookings made after the change.
Vehicle charges depend on the vehicle details
The reviewed official information does not publish a current general tariff by vehicle length or a universal extra-per-metre charge. Vehicle category and the details entered for the booking determine the quote; do not rely on older event or TT tariff tables as current general fares.

The operator’s terms give vessel-specific maximum dimensions and recommend contacting reservations if a vehicle exceeds published limits or needs confirmation. Some high-performance, overloaded or low-clearance vehicles may not be accepted on certain sailings because of tidal conditions or shore facilities.
Event-specific extras are not general fare rules
For TT 2026 bookings, the operator says to include attachments in vehicle dimensions, allows up to eight motorcycles subject to the adult passenger count, and requires bicycles to be added as an extra because space is limited. Its TT information also describes reserved seating and premium lounge upgrades as optional extras, with a refund if an extra cannot be provided. These are event-page details, not universal vehicle prices or guarantees for every crossing. See the operator’s TT 2026 ticket information.
Cabin prices and other optional charges
Cabins
The operator information reviewed does not establish a current cabin price table. Select the cabin option in the live booking flow for your route, date and sailing to see availability and its effect on the total. A lounge seat or upgrade is not a cabin.
Pets
The operator’s terms list a charge of £15 per pet per journey for a dog or cat using pet facilities, and £10 per kennel. Pets travelling in a vehicle on the listed vessels may travel free. Confirm the applicable pet option and charge in the booking flow.
Get an accurate quote before you book
- Choose the route and dates. Check current route availability and pick the sailing you want; route-page from-prices are not a quote for those dates.
- Enter every passenger and age. The total is based on the party you are booking, not just the advertised foot-passenger starting fare.
- Add the vehicle accurately. Select its category and enter complete dimensions, including attachments; contact reservations if it exceeds a stated limit or needs special approval.
- Review the fare choices. Compare the lowest available offer with the standard fully flexible fare, including the change and cancellation conditions.
- Add extras before comparing totals. Check cabin or lounge availability, pets, bicycles and any event-specific options relevant to your trip.
- Compare the final total online. Phone and in-person bookings have the stated channel supplements; the online booking flow provides the date-specific price and applicable fuel adjustment.
Dublin services can be seasonal. The Dublin route page reported that scheduled sailings between 23 July and 1 October 2026 were cancelled because infrastructure disruption at Holyhead affected berth availability and scheduling. That notice concerns those dates only; check the current route page for present availability.
