No Xbox version of World of Warcraft: Forever has been confirmed. Windows Central reported that Xbox and other console platforms briefly appeared on a Brazilian classification listing before the entries were removed. The account is based on user observations, and the original listing is not preserved in the sources reviewed. Treat it as an unverified rumor—not an announcement.
What happened with the Brazil classification listing?
Windows Central reported on October 1, 2026, that a Reddit user named “Rychillie” noticed a Brazil Ministry of Justice listing for World of Warcraft: Forever on September 29. According to the outlet, the listing named Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac. Another Reddit user later reported that the console entries had disappeared within hours. Windows Central’s report links to the Brazilian portal, but the original record is not preserved in the sources reviewed here.
That makes the listing a secondhand report of a transient record, not durable proof that Blizzard submitted or plans to release console versions. The inclusion of PlayStation 3 alongside current platforms is another reason for caution. Windows Central suggests a data-entry mistake is likely, but the available sources do not document an official ministry correction.

The cited ESRB rating page lists World of Warcraft: Forever for Macintosh and Windows PC and assigns it a Teen rating. That is the platform information shown on that page; it does not rule out a later announcement for another platform.

Brazil does have an official game-classification process. Microsoft’s publishing guide identifies ClassInd/DJCTQ as the classification authority and links to the rating search portal. It explains that classification applies to the platform submitted and distinguishes a requested rating (“Classificação Pretendida”) from the assigned rating (“Classificação Sugerida”). Those process details do not authenticate the briefly reported console entries.
Does Xbox controller support mean WoW is coming to Xbox?
No. Windows Central reported that World of Warcraft: Forever adds native Xbox-controller support on PC. That means gamepad play on a Windows computer; it does not establish that the game runs on Xbox hardware or that a console edition exists. An Xbox controller may be used with the PC version, but the cited report does not identify a particular controller model as required.

What has Blizzard said about a console version?
In a September 19, 2026 interview reported by Windows Central, game director Ion Hazzikostas said, “Our focus remains PC,” while leaving future possibilities open: “Our focus remains [on PC], but many possibilities exist in the future, and we’ll see where that leads us.” The bracketed phrase is the clarification as printed in the outlet’s report. An open-ended comment is not a promise or confirmation of an Xbox port.

The most accurate reading is therefore limited: Blizzard’s reported focus remains PC, and a future console option has not been ruled out. No verified console announcement appears in the cited material.

How strong is the Xbox rumor?
For now, the evidence supports skepticism rather than a definitive yes or no about what Blizzard might do later. The reported Brazil listing is weaker evidence than an official Blizzard platform announcement or a preserved, confirmed classification certificate. A controller feature on PC is a separate matter from a game build listed for Xbox hardware.
- Reported, not confirmed: console platforms briefly appeared on the Brazilian portal, according to Windows Central’s account of Reddit users’ observations.
- Currently listed on ESRB: Macintosh and Windows PC.
- Reported developer position: PC remains the focus; future possibilities are open but unannounced.
- Not proof of a port: native Xbox-controller support on PC.
Blizzard’s Portuguese product announcement says World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, 2026, at 19:00 Brasília time, and that access is included with a WoW subscription or game time. Those details describe the game’s availability and access, not an Xbox release.
