No independently verified evidence establishes a “best” crypto presale to buy, and the Ethereum Foundation’s AI work is not an endorsement of a token sale. The Foundation has described AI-related work on Ethereum infrastructure, coordination, privacy, and security. That activity does not prove that an AI-branded presale is affiliated with Ethereum, that its product will be delivered, or that its token has investment value.
Instead of treating the Foundation’s work as a buying signal, check an offering’s issuer, token rights, sale terms, security controls, and legal disclosures against independent evidence. No single audit, white paper, partnership claim, or wallet can establish that an investment is sound.
What the Ethereum Foundation means by putting AI on Ethereum
The Foundation’s AI activity is described as ecosystem and infrastructure work, not as a campaign to promote presale tokens. Its dAI team says it aims to make Ethereum a preferred settlement and coordination layer for AI agents and the machine economy. The team’s stated vision includes ways for agents and robots to pay, coordinate, and follow rules, alongside a decentralized AI stack. Those are the team’s objectives, not evidence that a particular token sale is connected to it.

A project’s use of words such as “Ethereum,” “AI,” or “on-chain” in its marketing does not itself demonstrate Foundation affiliation or technical delivery. Treat any claimed relationship as unverified unless the Foundation or the named partner confirms it through a channel it controls.

Why there is no evidence-based “best presale” here
A ranking requires current, comparable evidence about the offerings being ranked. The available information does not establish an independently verified market-wide ranking, success rate, or comparative return data for AI- or Ethereum-related presales. It therefore cannot support naming a winner or recommending a purchase.
One issuer’s white paper, for example, is not enough to make a meaningful comparison with other sales. A white paper records what its publisher says; it does not independently verify fundraising, delivery, token supply on-chain, investor interest, or investment merit. The absence of verified comparative evidence is a reason not to rank projects, not proof that a specific project is fraudulent.

What one presale white paper does—and does not—say
Etherchain AI’s self-published white paper states a total supply of 50 million ETHAI and allocates 50% to presale participants. The document’s publication year was not established. These are issuer claims, not independently confirmed on-chain figures or proof of sale activity.

Do not treat issuer claims such as a “lowest price,” investor confidence, or expected value as evidence of future performance. Check any claim against records and sources outside the project’s own materials.

How to evaluate a crypto presale before deciding
Work through the evidence in order. If you cannot verify a material claim, record it as unverified rather than filling the gap with the project’s marketing.
- Identify the issuer and accountable people. Find the legal entity, the people responsible for the offer, their verifiable work history, and the jurisdiction in which the entity operates. Check claimed partners directly with those partners using independently located contact information.
- Read the complete sale terms. Determine who may participate, what payment is accepted, where it goes, when tokens are delivered, whether refunds or cancellations are possible, and what restrictions apply to resale or withdrawal.
- Establish the token’s rights and supply. Look for what holders can actually do with the token and what it does not entitle them to. Check the stated supply, allocation, vesting and unlock schedule, treasury control, and concentration of holdings. Distinguish published plans from independently verifiable contract or distribution data.
- Check the product and evidence of use. Look for working code or a product that can be examined, reproducible demonstrations, evidence of adoption, and milestones with clear definitions. A roadmap is a plan, not proof of delivery.
- Inspect security claims. Identify the audited contract address, auditor, audit scope, findings, and any unresolved issues. Review administrator keys, upgrade permissions, and controls over sale funds. An audit only speaks to its stated scope and does not certify a project as safe or establish that its token is valuable.
- Confirm the legal basis for the offer. Check eligibility, restrictions, disclosures, and any claim of registration or an exemption with official sources relevant to your jurisdiction. Do not assume a presale is lawful or exempt merely because it is publicly advertised.
- Look for pressure tactics and independently verify claims. Be wary of urgency, guaranteed returns, celebrity promotion, vague AI language, or unverifiable partnerships. Confirm claims through primary records and independently controlled channels, not only screenshots, influencer posts, or project-controlled dashboards.
Risks regulators say crypto investors should consider
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s investor office warns that crypto asset securities can be exceptionally risky and speculative, with a significant risk of loss. Whether an offering is a security and what rules apply depend on the facts and jurisdiction; the SEC’s guidance is U.S. investor education, not universal legal advice.

- Market and liquidity risk: prices can be volatile, and an asset may be difficult or impossible to sell when wanted.
- Business and control risk: a company holding assets can fail, while opaque ownership or control can make it hard to know who is accountable.
- Legal and disclosure risk: legal restrictions may apply, and an unregistered offering may not provide important information or protections.
- Technical and fraud risk: hacks, malware, and scams can lead to loss. Recovery after fraud may be limited.
In a May 29, 2024 alert, the SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy stated: “Fraudsters often use the hype around new technological developments, like emerging AI technologies, to lure investors into scams.” The alert describes AI-generated promotional material, impersonation, and presale pump-and-dump tactics. Verify the person, product, and offer independently rather than relying on material that can be produced or controlled by the promoter.

On February 13, 2014, the Ethereum Foundation warned about a then-unfinalized ether presale and said: “we do not recommend, encourage, or endorse any attempt to sell, trade, or acquire ether.” The statement concerned that specific period and an unaffiliated forward offer. It is not a blanket statement about every current token offering, and it does not establish anything about a particular present-day presale. Its relevance here is narrower: distinguish an official Foundation communication from an unaffiliated issuer’s claims about Ethereum.

Wallets protect access credentials, not the investment
Investor.gov’s December 12, 2025 custody bulletin explains that crypto wallets are tools for managing the private keys used to access crypto assets; the assets themselves are not stored in the wallet. A wallet can be relevant if someone decides to hold crypto, but it cannot verify an issuer, create token value, make a sale legal, or remove the risks of a token or project. Secure custody and investment due diligence are separate questions.
