The TECNO CAMON 30 5G is a camera-focused midrange phone whose strongest case is its combination of a 50 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 50 MP autofocus selfie camera, and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. In its India-market review published on 4 June 2024, 91mobiles praised the cameras, display, and design, while flagging stronger performance-focused competition and inconsistent behavior from the Ella AI assistant. That review’s under-Rs-25,000 framing is historical, not a current price recommendation.
What are the CAMON 30 5G’s main strengths and drawbacks?
91mobiles gave the phone an expert rating of 7.0/10. The reviewer’s positive points were its capable cameras, vibrant and immersive display, and premium-looking design. The main reservations were that buyers prioritizing performance could find more powerful competition and that Ella AI behaved inconsistently. These are 91mobiles’ review findings, not results from independent hands-on testing for this article. Read the 91mobiles review.
- Best fit: A buyer who values camera features, selfies, and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen.
- Think twice if: Gaming performance, the strongest available processor, or a consistently useful AI assistant is your priority.
How good are the display and cameras on paper?
TECNO lists a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 × 2436. Those specifications promise a large, smooth-screen experience, while 91mobiles described the display as vibrant and immersive in its review. Specifications alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy, or how the screen performs in particular conditions.

The reviewer’s overall assessment of camera capability was positive. The megapixel counts and feature list do not, by themselves, guarantee photo quality; the positive assessment belongs to 91mobiles’ review, not to testing conducted here. What are the performance and gaming trade-offs?
TECNO lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 5G processor. 91mobiles considered it suitable for everyday tasks and light gaming, but noted that buyers seeking stronger gaming performance had more powerful alternatives to consider. The reviewed evidence does not establish benchmark results or a current, like-for-like comparison with named rivals, so the processor specification should not be treated as proof of how it compares in sustained real-world gaming.
What do the battery, charging, and software specifications establish?
TECNO lists a 5,000 mAh battery and 70W charging through USB Type-C. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish independently measured battery endurance or charging time. The available information also does not confirm whether a charger is included in the box or whether a specific third-party charger supports the phone’s charging capability.

TECNO lists Android 14. At the time of its 2024 review, 91mobiles described the software as Android 14-based HiOS and reported that TECNO had promised three years of software and security updates. That report does not verify the phone’s current delivered Android version, security patch level, or update delivery record.

91mobiles framed its June 2024 review around a price below Rs 25,000 in India. That is launch-period context, not evidence of the phone’s current price, stock, or value in India or another market. Before buying, check the listing for the exact CAMON 30 5G model, its RAM and storage configuration, warranty, and local seller support.

If you are comparing it with another phone, weigh actual camera and selfie results, display quality and refresh rate, processor and sustained gaming performance, battery endurance and charging, software-support delivery, and today’s local price. The 2024 review does not establish how the phone compares with every newer or currently available alternative.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verdict: who should buy the TECNO CAMON 30 5G?
The CAMON 30 5G makes the clearest case for buyers who put its camera features, selfie camera, and AMOLED display ahead of peak performance. 91mobiles’ review supports those as its notable strengths, but also points to performance-focused alternatives and an inconsistent Ella AI experience. Whether it is a worthwhile purchase now depends on the current local offer and how those priorities compare with the alternatives available to you.
