The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is aimed at buyers who want a large 120Hz Samsung display, flexible cameras and Galaxy AI features without paying the standard Galaxy S26 price. It is easier to recommend if those features matter more than top-tier performance: an independent review found middling performance and only modest hardware changes from the previous generation, while Samsung’s U.S. page listed the entry model at $699.99 when checked.
Prices and configurations vary by country and can change. The U.S. prices below are live-page observations, while the specifications cited are from Samsung’s India announcement; check Samsung’s current listing for your market before buying.
How much does the Galaxy S26 FE cost?
On Samsung’s U.S. product page, observed October 7, 2026, the 128GB model was listed at $699.99 and the 256GB model at $799.99. These are displayed prices, not guaranteed ongoing prices; promotions, carrier offers, trade-ins and availability can change the amount you pay. Tom’s Guide separately listed U.S. prices of $699 and $799. Compare offers for the same storage capacity and check whether a price depends on a carrier or trade-in.
Samsung announced the phone on August 27, 2026. In the U.S., select carriers began offering it September 3, with broader availability through Samsung.com, carriers and retailers from September 4. Samsung announced the India launch on September 14. Regional prices and configurations should not be treated as interchangeable.

What are the Galaxy S26 FE’s key specifications?
Samsung India lists the following specifications. They describe the India-market phone; confirm the configuration for your country before purchasing.
| Feature | Samsung India listing |
|---|---|
| Display | 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, up to 120Hz |
| Processor | Exynos 2500 |
| Battery | 4,900mAh |
| Wired charging | 45W |
| Rear cameras | 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom |
| Front camera | 12MP |
Megapixel counts and zoom range describe hardware, not the quality of every photo. Tom’s Guide identified telephoto zoom as a weakness in its assessment, so buyers who frequently photograph distant subjects should look for sample images and comparisons that reflect their own needs.

Does the Galaxy S26 FE support 45W charging?
Samsung India specifies 45W wired charging and says the phone can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter. That is Samsung’s stated result, not an independently reproduced charging test. Actual charging can depend on the adapter, cable, temperature and usage.
Samsung says buyers can use an existing compatible charger with the included USB-C cable or buy a new plug. Check the box contents and adapter compatibility for your region; a new charger is only necessary if you do not already have a suitable one.

What do the Galaxy AI and video features do?
Samsung describes the S26 FE as the first Galaxy S26-series model to launch with One UI 9 and advertises Galaxy AI features. Their availability and behavior can vary by region and software, so check the current local product specifications rather than assuming every feature is available everywhere.
- My FanCam: Samsung says you can select a person and have the camera automatically keep them centered in video.
- Super Steady with Horizontal Lock: Samsung says this feature helps produce smoother, more level video.
- Photo Assist: Samsung describes natural-language prompts for refining images.
These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not a guarantee of results in every recording or editing situation. Samsung’s claim that the phone delivers signature Galaxy S-series strengths is its product positioning, not an independent verdict.

Is the Galaxy S26 FE worth buying?
It may suit buyers who value Samsung’s large, high-refresh-rate display, camera flexibility and advertised AI tools, and who can find it at a price that fits their budget. The main trade-off is that the independent review found performance behind the standard Galaxy S26 in its benchmark results and criticized the limited hardware change from the prior generation. Buyers focused on demanding games or peak performance should weigh that review finding against the FE’s lower entry price.
What the battery evidence does—and does not—show
Tom’s Guide said its full battery test was not complete. In a rough three-hour YouTube streaming comparison at 50% brightness, the S26 FE ended with 82% charge; the publication reported 85% for the S26 and 87% for the A57 under that comparison. This is a limited test, not a reliable prediction of a full day’s use or a complete battery-life ranking.

How to compare it with another phone
- Total cost: Compare the same storage size, unlocked or carrier pricing, and the conditions attached to discounts and trade-ins.
- Performance: If gaming or sustained demanding workloads are priorities, consider the review’s benchmark finding relative to the standard S26.
- Cameras: Assess main, ultrawide, telephoto, selfie and video performance separately. A camera count or megapixel figure alone cannot establish image quality.
- Software and longevity: One UI 9 and Galaxy AI are advertised features, but the cited product pages do not establish a complete software-update duration. Check Samsung’s current support policy for your market before making longevity a deciding factor.
Which Galaxy S26 FE case fits?
Choose a case explicitly labeled for the Galaxy S26 FE. Do not assume a Galaxy S26 or older FE case fits: model-specific dimensions and button or camera cutouts matter. No particular third-party case fit is established here, so verify the exact model name on the case listing before ordering. Samsung also mentions Care+ as an optional coverage route; check current local terms and pricing if you are considering it.
