No—not natively. Samsung lists the Galaxy S23 Ultra as supporting WPC wireless charging, but its specifications do not list MagSafe alignment magnets or Qi2 Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) support. A magnetic-ring case can let some MagSafe-style accessories attach, but it does not give the phone native MagSafe support, and charging depends on the specific case-and-charger combination.
Does the Galaxy S23 Ultra work with MagSafe?
The S23 Ultra supports wireless charging under the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) standard. Samsung’s specification lists “Fast Wireless Charging 2.0” and states, “Wireless charging compatible with WPC.” It does not list built-in magnetic alignment or Apple MagSafe support. Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra specifications therefore establish Qi/WPC wireless charging, not native MagSafe compatibility.
These terms describe different things: Qi/WPC charging transfers power wirelessly, while MagSafe also describes Apple’s magnetic attachment and alignment system on supported products. Apple lists a “MagSafe wireless charging” feature, “Magnet array,” and “Alignment magnet” for supported iPhone models. Possibly, but do not assume that every MagSafe charger will charge the phone reliably or at a particular speed. Wireless charging support alone does not confirm how an individual charger will work with the S23 Ultra, especially if a magnetic case is involved. Attachment, charging, charging speed, and any extra accessory functions are separate compatibility questions.

Samsung cautions that some magnetic cases or accessories may affect performance and that ordinary pad-style chargers can stop charging when used with magnetic cases. Its current Qi2 magnetic-case guidance discusses later supported models, including the S25 and later; it does not identify the S23 Ultra as a Qi2 MPP device. The available official specifications do not establish a MagSafe-specific charging speed for the S23 Ultra. In particular, Samsung’s reported wired result—up to 65% in around 30 minutes with a 45 W adapter and 5 A USB-C cable under its internal lab conditions—is not a wireless or MagSafe charging claim. Actual charging speed can vary.

Do you need a magnetic case for the Galaxy S23 Ultra?
A case with a magnetic ring may give some MagSafe-style mounts and accessories an attachment point. That is a case-based option, not native MagSafe support built into the phone. Whether a particular mount or accessory attaches securely depends on the case and accessory; the official sources cited here do not test individual products or their holding strength.

Choose a case explicitly made for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung lists the phone at 163.4 × 78.1 × 8.9 mm and 233 g. Will a magnetic case affect wireless charging?
It can. Samsung warns that magnetic cases may interfere with ordinary pad-style charging, so a case that holds an accessory is not automatically a good match for every wireless charger. For a phone-and-case combination, check both manufacturers’ compatibility details and follow the charger’s instructions.
Samsung recommends pairing a Qi2-certified magnetic case with a Qi2-certified MPP charger for the later models covered by its guidance. That recommendation should not be read as confirmation that the S23 Ultra supports Qi2 MPP. No general compatibility claim can replace confirmation for the exact phone, case, and charger combination.

How to choose a case or charger
- Confirm the phone model. Look for a case labeled specifically for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, not just for a similar Galaxy model.
- Decide whether you need magnetic attachment. If you want to use a MagSafe-style mount or accessory, check that the case has a magnetic ring and that the accessory maker says it is compatible with that case type.
- Check wireless charging separately. Confirm that the case-and-charger combination is stated to work together. Do not infer charging performance from magnetic attachment or from the phone’s WPC support alone.
- Follow the product instructions. If charging does not start or stops with the case installed, remove the case and check the charger and case makers’ guidance rather than assuming all magnetic accessories behave alike.
