Possibly—but only if the price is right and you are comfortable with a 4G phone, an HD+ screen and a 4GB/64GB starting configuration. Samsung’s India listing gives the Galaxy M08 a substantial stated software-support window, but it currently says “Not for sale.” The F08 is reported to share much of the same entry-level profile, though the available details here come from secondary reporting rather than an official F08 product listing. Without confirmed live prices and stock, neither is an established value pick.
What makes either phone a long-term-use candidate?
The strongest case is software support. Samsung India says the Galaxy M08 will receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from its first global launch date. Its listing specifies security support through 30 September 2032, while also warning that the policies are subject to change. Samsung’s Galaxy M08 listing is the official source for that commitment.
That is a support policy, not a guarantee that every update will arrive immediately or that the phone will remain fast and comfortable to use until 2032. Samsung’s general update guidance says eligible models and schedules may vary by model, country or operator and can change. Samsung’s One UI software update guidance was updated 9 September 2026.
The long support period matters most if you want security fixes and newer OS generations over time. It cannot by itself answer whether the memory, storage, screen, connectivity or battery will meet your needs for the whole ownership period.

Galaxy M08 vs F08: what is established?
The M08’s specifications and support terms below come from Samsung India’s product listing. F08 details are reported specifications from secondary sources, not independently confirmed here by an official F08 product page. Gizmochina’s 1 October 2026 launch report and a Gadgets 360 listing updated 3 October 2026 describe the F08 as a close sibling; the latter’s status information does not fully align with other report phrasing, so treat its details cautiously. What could limit their useful life?
4GB RAM and 64GB storage
Both are listed or reported in a 4GB/64GB configuration. That is the starting point established by the reviewed sources, not evidence that the phones will stay responsive as apps and personal files accumulate. Whether it is enough depends on your apps, multitasking habits and how much local media you keep. Samsung lists microSD expansion up to 2TB for the M08, but that expands storage rather than RAM. Samsung’s listing provides the expansion detail.

4G and HD+ rather than 5G and Full HD
The M08 listing specifies LTE/4G, and reporting describes the F08 as 4G. If you need 5G, these are not the right shortlist based on the evidence available. Check local band and operator compatibility before buying. Their 720 × 1600 resolution is HD+, so the large 6.7-inch display prioritizes screen size and a reported 90Hz refresh rate over the extra detail of a Full HD panel.

Battery capacity is not runtime evidence
The M08’s stated 6,000mAh is a typical capacity; Samsung gives 5,830mAh as the rated minimum. Neither number establishes how many hours the phone will last in your use. No independent battery-runtime results or long-term battery-health data are available in the sources reviewed here. The charger is sold separately for the M08, so factor a compatible 25W charger into the cost if you do not already have one.

Specifications do not prove camera or speed quality
The camera megapixel counts do not establish image quality, and no camera tests were reviewed. Samsung lists processor speeds for the M08 without naming its chipset; F08 reporting varies between Helio G99 and G99+ labels. There is no basis here for a reliable performance ranking or a claim that either phone will remain smooth for a particular number of years.
When does buying one make sense?
- Consider the M08 if its live price is suitably low, its 4G connectivity and HD+ resolution meet your needs, 4GB/64GB suits your usage, and Samsung’s stated support policy is a priority.
- Consider the F08 cautiously if it becomes available at a compelling price and you can verify its exact configuration, support terms, warranty and seller. Its shared profile is reported rather than confirmed by an official product listing in the sources reviewed here.
- Look elsewhere if you need 5G, more memory or storage without relying on expansion, a sharper display, or independently demonstrated long-term performance.
Before deciding, compare the actual selling price and stock, the exact model/SKU, official support information, storage expansion, charger inclusion, local warranty and service terms. A close-specification pair can still differ in value once price, seller and support are confirmed.

What is known about price and availability now?
Samsung India’s M08 page currently says “Not for sale.” Gizmochina’s 1 October 2026 report said the F08 was coming soon and that its price and sale date had not yet been revealed at that time.
