No—do not assume the Samsung Galaxy A13 is water resistant. Samsung’s current Philippines water-resistance guide does not list the A13, and Samsung’s 2022 India comparison leaves its durability rating blank. Samsung says to check the instruction manual when a device is not listed, so confirm the rating for your exact regional model rather than assuming every A13 variant is identical.
What Samsung’s information says about the Galaxy A13
Samsung’s Philippines guide lists selected Galaxy phones with water-resistance ratings but does not include the Galaxy A13. The guide says that owners of an unlisted device should check its instruction manual because ratings may vary by model. Samsung’s 2022 India Galaxy A-series comparison also leaves the A13’s durability field blank, while listing IP67 for some other models in that lineup.
Together, these official materials support a cautious answer: Samsung does not list the Galaxy A13 with a water-resistance rating in those sources. They do not establish that every regional A13 variant has been checked, so consult the manual for your phone’s exact model number before making a categorical claim about your variant. Samsung Philippines identifies one A13 128GB model as SM-A135FZKJPHL.
Can you use a Galaxy A13 in the rain or near water?
Because Samsung does not list the A13 as water resistant in the cited guide, do not treat it as protected from rain, splashes, spills, or immersion. Avoid deliberately exposing it to water. A case or pouch may offer an additional barrier, but it does not change the phone’s official IP rating, and Samsung’s materials do not certify a particular accessory for the A13.

What an IP rating means—and why it matters
An IP code is model-specific and follows IEC 60529. Samsung explains that the first digit indicates protection against solid objects and the second indicates protection against water. A rating assigned to another Galaxy model cannot be transferred to the A13.
For context, Samsung describes IPX7 as temporary immersion for 30 minutes at 1 meter and IPX8 as 30 minutes at 1.5 meters for the relevant rated Galaxy models. Those conditions are not an A13 rating and should not be used to judge what the A13 can withstand. Samsung also cautions that water resistance can weaken over time.

What to do if your Galaxy A13 gets wet
- Switch it off and do not turn it back on. Samsung warns that moisture may remain inside even after the exterior looks dry. Have the phone checked before powering it on.
- Remove accessible SIM and SD items promptly. Do not force open or remove parts that are not designed to be removed by the user.
- Dry the outside with a dry towel. Do not use a hair dryer, other external heat, compressed air, chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaning.
- Let it sit in a ventilated place with cool airflow if service is not immediately available. Keep it out of direct light and away from heat.
- Take it to an authorized service center. Samsung advises an inspection for devices treated as not water resistant, even if the phone appears to work.
Do not charge a wet phone, or handle its charger and cords while wet. Samsung warns that charging a wet device can cause electric shock or damage. Its safety guidance recommends having a wet phone checked even when it seems to function normally.
Check the manual for your exact A13 model
Find the model number in the phone’s settings, on its packaging, or on the device label, then use that exact identifier to locate the regional Samsung instruction manual. If the manual does not specify a water-resistance rating, do not assume the phone is protected. The Galaxy A13 name alone is not evidence of an IP rating.
