Can you buy the Pixel 11 Pro for $849?
Google announced the Pixel 11 Pro at a US starting price of $1,099 on August 12, 2026, and said it would be on shelves beginning August 20. Google later said the phones were on sale as of August 25. The $849 figure is not established as the phone’s general unlocked price. Google’s US Store page displays “From $619” after eligible trade-in alongside a $1,099 comparison price. That $619 is a trade-in-dependent figure, not a universal sale price. Your actual cost depends on the qualifying device and the transaction terms. What Google’s October trade-in offer requires
Google’s US offers page advertises up to $650 back with an eligible trade-in when buying a Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL. The offer runs from October 1 through October 29, 2026, and applies to selected unlocked or Verizon variants. Buyers must reside in the United States and have the order shipped to a US address. To evaluate a claimed $849 price, compare the offer’s actual trade-in value for your device with the listed price of the exact Pixel 11 Pro configuration you plan to buy. A quoted effective price should make clear whether it assumes a trade-in, a selected variant, store credit, or financing. Do not treat a maximum credit or a financing figure as the ordinary unlocked price.
What you get in the Pixel 11 Pro
Google positions the Pixel 11 Pro as the smaller of its two Pro phones. Its US specification page lists a 6.3-inch Super Actua display, Tensor G6, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The listed rear cameras are a 50MP wide camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera with Macro Focus, and a 48MP 5x telephoto camera; the front camera is 42MP. Software support and introductory AI offer
Google promises seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the phone. The launch announcement also says the Pro phones include six months of Google AI Pro, with higher Gemini usage, 5TB of cloud storage, and Google Health Premium. Charging and accessories
Google lists Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 25W. Its wired-charging claim—up to 55% in about 30 minutes—assumes a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. If you need wired charging at that stated rate, check that your charger supports USB-C PPS and meets the power requirement. Is it worth buying at $849?
If $849 is the final price shown for your exact configuration and you are comfortable with any trade-in or variant conditions, it is below Google’s $1,099 US launch starting price. But a price that depends on surrendering a phone, meeting eligibility rules, or accepting a specific variant is not equivalent to an unconditional discount. Compare the final checkout amount with the value you would assign to keeping your current device.
The phone’s size, storage, camera hardware, charging setup, and seven-year update promise are useful factors when deciding whether it fits your needs. The official sources establish Google’s specifications and support commitment, but they do not establish independent battery life, camera performance, benchmark results, or value against competitors. Those real-world comparisons cannot be inferred from the specifications alone.
