A report about a new LEGO Lord of the Rings set refers to a purported Helm’s Deep model, numbered 11399—but it is not confirmed by LEGO in the sources reviewed. The confirmed set with more than 8,000 pieces is a different model: LEGO’s Minas Tirith 11377, listed with 8,278 pieces. The two sets should not be confused.
Is the reported LEGO Helm’s Deep set confirmed?
No. An October 6, 2026 post on r/Legoleak reports a LEGO Icons Lord of the Rings set numbered 11399, described as Helm’s Deep and associated in the post title with June 2027. It attributes the information to Brickmerge, but that attribution has not been independently verified here, and the reviewed sources do not include an official LEGO announcement.
Accordingly, the post is a community report, not confirmation that LEGO is making the set. It does not establish an official release date or confirmed product specifications. Discussion in the thread about possible scale, price, piece count, figures, or battle scenes is fan speculation, not product information.
What does the 11399 report actually establish?
It establishes that a community post made a claim about a purported Helm’s Deep set. The available evidence does not verify the underlying Brickmerge listing or provide confirmed specifications for 11399.

Is this the same set as LEGO Minas Tirith 11377?
No. Minas Tirith 11377 is a separate, officially listed LEGO set. LEGO’s US product page, checked October 7, 2026, lists 8,278 pieces, a price of $649.99, and availability as “Available now.” Those details apply to Minas Tirith, not the reported Helm’s Deep set. The price and availability are US listing details and can change.

What is confirmed about Minas Tirith?
LEGO describes Minas Tirith as an adult-oriented model combining a microscale city exterior with minifigure-scale interior spaces. Its listed minifigures are Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, and four Soldiers of Gondor; the set also includes a Shadowfax horse figure. LEGO gives the model’s dimensions as over 59 cm high, 62 cm wide, and 37 cm deep.

These specifications describe Minas Tirith only. They do not predict the size, scale, figures, or design of a possible Helm’s Deep model. In a June 2026 interview about Minas Tirith, LEGO designer Francois Zapf said, “The idea was to explore a different approach for this model – it was tricky to nail it.” His comments concerned the design of Minas Tirith, not 11399. The Brothers Brick interview discusses that set’s design.
What should readers take from the “over 8,000 pieces” headline?
The confirmed 8,278-piece figure belongs to Minas Tirith 11377. The Helm’s Deep 11399 claim remains unverified, and the reviewed sources establish no piece count for it. A separate USA TODAY report from June 1, 2026 also covered Minas Tirith’s piece count and launch timing; its mention of an early-purchase gift was tied to a promotion ending June 7, 2026, and is not a current offer.
