The available reporting does not confirm a Lenovo laptop deal at £399. TechRadar reported a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 configuration for £349.99 at Amazon on 11 July 2025, but that is a historical price—not evidence of a current offer. The report also does not identify the exact model number or processor generation, so check the live listing and its specifications before buying.
What Lenovo laptop and configuration did the deal coverage identify?
TechRadar’s UK Prime Day live coverage described a 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 with an Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It did not state the exact model number or which generation of Intel i5 the laptop uses. Those omissions matter: similarly named laptops can have different components, and the family name alone is not enough to confirm that a current listing matches the reported configuration.
The same coverage characterized the configuration as a budget Windows laptop for everyday use, administrative tasks and light work. That is the publisher’s assessment, not an independent test of the specific laptop. The coverage does not establish its suitability for demanding games or professional workloads, and it gives no battery-life results. TechRadar’s UK Prime Day coverage, last updated 11 July 2025, is the source for these details.
What price was reported—and does it verify £399?
TechRadar reported an Amazon price of £349.99 on 11 July 2025, against a previous listed price of £545.14. These are figures from that dated coverage; they do not show that the offer remains available. The £399 price in the headline is not corroborated by the report, so it should not be treated as a verified current price.

There is not enough information here to judge whether a live £399 listing is good value. That requires checking the exact laptop configuration, the current total price, who is selling it and whether it is available. A deal label or the IdeaPad Slim 3 name by itself cannot establish that it is the same product or a worthwhile discount.
What to check on a live Amazon listing
- Exact model and specification: Confirm the model number, 14-inch display, Intel i5 generation, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The 2025 coverage does not provide a model number or processor generation to match against.
- Price and availability: Check the price shown now and the total at checkout. Do not use the July 2025 deal price or previous listed price as a current comparison.
- Seller: Verify who is selling the laptop, rather than assuming every Amazon listing is sold by Amazon.
- Returns and warranty: Review the terms attached to the specific listing before ordering.
- Like-for-like alternatives: Compare current Windows laptops with similar RAM and SSD capacity, while also checking processor generation, display size, seller, warranty and returns. TechRadar’s coverage framed Windows 11 as offering a fuller environment than ChromeOS on Chromebooks, but it did not provide current alternative prices.
Is it worth considering?
The reported 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration may be relevant if you want a Windows laptop for everyday tasks, admin and light work—the use cases TechRadar named. But the available details do not establish that a laptop listed now for £399 is the same configuration, nor do they prove that £399 is a strong deal. Make the decision using the exact listing and current like-for-like prices, not the historical Prime Day report.
