The HyperX Cloud III wired headset is worth considering if you want a multiplatform headset with both 3.5 mm and USB connections and do not need wireless freedom. HyperX’s US listing showed it at $69.99, down from a crossed-out $99.99, when checked on October 7, 2026; that is a dated listing snapshot, not proof of its usual price or a historic low. Check HyperX’s current Cloud III listing for today’s price and availability.
What the HyperX Cloud III wired headset offers
This is the wired Cloud III, not HyperX’s separate wireless model. It has an over-ear, circumaural, closed-back design, an aluminum frame, memory-foam headband and ear cushions, and angled 53 mm dynamic drivers. HyperX lists a 10 Hz–21 kHz frequency response. Those specifications describe the hardware; they do not establish how it sounds compared with another headset.
The detachable 10 mm microphone is described by HyperX as noise-cancelling and has an LED mute indicator. On-headset audio controls let you adjust sound or mute the microphone without reaching for software controls. Whether the fit and sound suit you will still depend on your preferences; the available specifications are not a substitute for hands-on listening.

Connections and compatible devices
HyperX lists 3.5 mm, USB-C, and USB-A connectivity. The official HP data sheet identifies the analog connection as 3.5 mm, 4-pole CTIA, and also specifies USB audio. The HyperX listing names PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and mobile devices as compatible platforms. Check that the connection and headset support the exact device and setup you plan to use.

Prices and stock can change, so judge the offer against the live listing when you are ready to buy.

At that listed price, the headset may suit buyers who want a wired option across several platforms, value a detachable microphone and on-headset controls, and can use one of its supported connections. It is a poor fit if a wireless connection is essential. The official specifications do not support calling it a better performer than competing headsets; compare fit, microphone needs, connection type, platform support, warranty, and the price available that day.
