It can be—if the S25 Ultra’s final checkout price is meaningfully lower than the S26 Ultra’s for the same storage, and the S25 fits your needs. Amazon India announced an S25 Ultra 5G offer of ₹84,999 including a ₹5,000 coupon for the Great Indian Festival period, but that is a conditional offer, not a guaranteed price for every buyer. Amazon says the Festival begins October 8, 2026, while a separate smartphone-deals announcement describes offers as live ahead of the event.
What the announced S25 Ultra offer actually means
Amazon India announced the Galaxy S25 Ultra 5G at ₹84,999 with a ₹5,000 coupon. Treat that figure as an announced, conditional Festival-period offer: confirm the coupon appears on the exact listing and is applied at checkout before deciding. The final amount can depend on stock, seller, storage configuration, payment eligibility and any exchange valuation.
Amazon says the Great Indian Festival 2026 starts October 8. Its separate smartphone-deals announcement describes offers as available ahead of the Festival, so an early offer and the main event start date are not the same thing. Check the live listing on the day you buy; an announced offer does not establish that the same price or stock will remain available.
Amazon has also listed an S25 Ultra 256GB/12GB model at ₹1,18,999 in a separate smartphone roundup. That is a different retail context from the Festival-period announcement, not a second price to combine with the ₹84,999 offer. Compare the live offer for the configuration you intend to buy.

How the three phones compare on the evidence available
The useful comparison is not just a headline price: line up the same storage tier where possible, then weigh the S25 Ultra’s price against the S26 Ultra’s announced changes and your preference for Android or Apple’s ecosystem.
| Phone | Price information available | What is established here |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S25 Ultra | Amazon India announced ₹84,999 including a ₹5,000 coupon for a Festival-period offer; confirm the live listing and checkout total. Samsung India lists 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations, each with 12GB memory. | A large-screen Android phone with an S Pen; whether those features matter to you is part of the value decision. |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | October 2026 India price: not stated in the Samsung product information cited here. | Samsung describes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, a slimmer design with an ambient island camera, and wider apertures plus noise reduction intended to improve low-light video. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent test results. |
| iPhone 17 Pro | Apple India’s indexed page showed a ₹134,900 starting price in 2026, but the page redirected to a newer lineup when opened. That is not confirmation of October price, stock or availability. | Consider it if you prefer iOS and Apple’s ecosystem, but verify a current India listing before comparing its cost with either Samsung phone. |
The figures are not a like-for-like live-price comparison: the S25 amount is a conditional retailer announcement, the S26 price is not established here, and the iPhone figure is from a page that redirected. Check all three at the same time and compare the same storage tier where the listings allow it.

When the S25 Ultra is the better buy
- You have confirmed the coupon and the exact S25 Ultra configuration you want is in stock.
- Its final price is substantially below the S26 Ultra’s live price after separating eligible discounts, trade-in value and financing terms.
- You want the S Pen or Samsung’s large-screen Android workflow, and the S26 Ultra’s announced design and camera changes are not worth the extra cost to you.
Samsung India lists the S25 Ultra in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions, all with 12GB memory. Match storage before judging the price gap: a cheaper 256GB offer is not a direct comparison with a 512GB or 1TB model.

Choose the S26 Ultra if its changes matter enough at the live price
Samsung says the S26 Ultra has a newer custom processor, a slimmer build with an ambient island camera, and wider apertures with noise reduction intended to produce clearer low-light video. Those claims may matter if you particularly value the newer design or low-light video features. The information available here does not quantify their real-world benefit or establish that the S26 Ultra is faster, takes better overall photos, lasts longer on a charge or receives longer software support.

Samsung’s S26 Ultra product page says the box does not include a charger. Check the packaging for the exact regional listing you plan to buy; that statement should not be assumed to describe every region or the S25 Ultra.
Choose the iPhone 17 Pro only after checking its current India offer
The available Apple India price reference is not reliable evidence of an October 2026 price because the page redirected to a newer iPhone lineup. If iOS or Apple’s ecosystem is your preference, verify the iPhone 17 Pro’s current availability and price from an active India listing, then compare the final cost with the Samsung offers. The information here does not support a universal camera, battery, performance or support winner.

What to check at Amazon checkout
- Open the exact phone listing. Confirm it is the Galaxy S25 Ultra 5G and note the storage capacity, seller and stock status.
- Apply the coupon. Check that the announced ₹5,000 coupon is available for that listing and appears in the checkout total.
- Review payment offers separately. Amazon’s announcement describes a 10% instant discount for eligible SBI card transactions and possible additional Prime-member savings. Another Festival announcement describes Amazon Pay ICICI cashback terms. Eligibility and stacking depend on the offer terms; do not assume every benefit applies together.
- Keep exchange and EMI calculations distinct. Check the trade-in valuation and financing terms separately from the phone’s price and coupon so you can compare the real cost with another listing.
- Compare like with like. Check S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra prices for the same storage tier where available, and verify a current iPhone 17 Pro India listing before using it as a price comparison.
- Confirm the final amount before placing the order. The checkout total—not a banner, estimated exchange value or headline coupon price—is the figure to use in your decision.
Verdict: buy on the verified price gap, not the headline
The S25 Ultra is a defensible value choice if you can obtain the announced Festival-period offer, the final price is materially below the S26 Ultra for equivalent storage, and you prefer its S Pen-equipped Samsung experience. If the price difference is small, weigh Samsung’s stated S26 Ultra changes against the cost. If you prefer iOS, first confirm the iPhone 17 Pro’s actual India price and availability. The evidence here does not establish a universal winner across cameras, battery life, performance or software support.
