The Fujifilm X-H2 already exists: Fujifilm lists it in its X-series lineup and describes a 40.2-megapixel camera capable of 8K/30p video. If you mean a successor to the X-H2, such as an X-H3, the official Fujifilm pages reviewed do not confirm an announcement, release date, or specifications. That is not proof Fujifilm will never make one.
What does “Fuji XH2” mean?
The name can refer to two different questions. The Fujifilm X-H2 is an existing camera, so it is not a future model awaiting release. Fujifilm’s product information describes the X-H2 as a 40.2-megapixel camera with 8K/30p video recording. Its product information also identifies CFexpress Type B support and compatibility with X-mount lenses. Before buying a specific card or lens, check the current camera manual and the accessory’s compatibility details. Consider the X-H2 if you need a camera now
The X-H2 is the confirmed option if your priorities include high-resolution stills and 8K/30p recording. Fujifilm’s official X-series lineup also lists the X-H2S, so compare those existing models against your needs rather than treating an unannounced successor as a product you can plan around. The pages reviewed do not provide a complete current side-by-side comparison, so check Fujifilm’s current specifications for the features that matter to your work.
Waiting only makes sense if you can accept uncertainty
If you are not ready to buy, waiting may give Fujifilm time to announce future products, but there is no confirmed X-H3 schedule to use as a decision date. Decide how long you can comfortably wait and whether your current camera meets your needs in the meantime; do not base a purchase plan on rumored specifications.

Fujifilm’s Singapore security-update table, last updated in February 2026, lists March 31, 2033 as the X-H2’s end-of-support date for security updates. That date applies to security-update support; it is not a promise about a successor, nor does it establish the end date for every kind of repair or service.
