The DJI Mini 3’s advertised 36% Prime Day discount is not verified by the available current pricing information. DJI’s US store lists several configurations at different prices, while dated 2026 deal reports describe different offers. Check the exact live listing, seller, package, and price before treating 36% off as a real offer. The drone itself is a lightweight, beginner-oriented camera model with 4K/30fps video and manufacturer-rated maximum flight times of 38 or 51 minutes, depending on the battery.
Is the DJI Mini 3 actually 36% off for Prime Day?
That exact discount is unverified. DJI’s US store page lists its own configurations and prices; it does not confirm an Amazon Prime Day offer. A discount claim is only meaningful when tied to a specific live listing and package, because controller, battery, and accessory bundles differ.
Two reports from June 2026 cited other offers, not the title’s 36% claim: Digital Camera World reported a UK £219 early Prime Day price on June 16, 2026, while Tom’s Guide reported a US $269 price and 35% off on June 26, 2026. These are dated secondary reports, not confirmation of a current deal.
What to verify on a live offer
- Confirm the exact model and package, including controller, number of batteries, and accessories.
- Check the seller, stock status, current price, and reference price on the listing itself.
- Calculate the discount from the stated reference price, and check that both prices refer to the same configuration.
What does DJI’s US store list?
When accessed in 2026, DJI’s US store listed these configurations and prices. The RC-N1 version was marked out of stock at that time; prices and availability can change.

Is the DJI Mini 3 a good beginner drone?
DJI markets the Mini 3 as beginner-friendly and describes it as a compact, ultra-lightweight camera drone. That is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent assessment of ease of flying. Its 4K HDR video and True Vertical Shooting make it a camera-focused option for beginners who want conventional landscape footage as well as portrait-oriented video.

DJI lists a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and 4K/30fps video for the Mini 3. Its comparison page identifies the Mini 3 Pro as supporting 4K/60fps. The Mini 3 should not be assumed to have the Pro’s subject-tracking or collision-sensing capabilities; check the precise model specifications if those features matter to your use. See DJI’s Mini 3 product page for its product description and comparison information.

DJI specifies a maximum flight time of 38 minutes with the standard Intelligent Flight Battery and 51 minutes with the separately sold Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, which is available only in selected countries and regions. These are manufacturer maximums from controlled testing, not a promise of ordinary flight duration; DJI says results vary with environment, usage, and firmware. Check regional availability and compatibility before buying the Plus battery. DJI’s specifications page provides the battery and test qualifications.

Does the Mini 3 weigh less than 249 grams?
DJI’s stated standard takeoff weight is 248 g when measured with the standard battery, propellers, and a microSD card. With the Battery Plus, DJI says the aircraft weighs about 290 g. Therefore, the under-249-g figure applies to the standard battery configuration, not every Mini 3 setup.
Weight thresholds do not create a universal exemption from drone rules. Requirements depend on where and how you fly, so check the applicable local laws for your aircraft configuration. DJI also advises users to check local regulations.

What else should you account for before buying?
- Storage: DJI says the aircraft has no internal storage. Its standard-weight note includes a microSD card, but the cited information does not establish supported card capacities or speed classes. Consult the Mini 3 support materials for current documentation before choosing a card.
- Package contents: A screen controller, extra batteries, and other accessories can change the value of a bundle. Verify each item in the exact retailer listing.
- Battery choice: The standard battery keeps the stated aircraft weight at 248 g; the Plus battery increases the manufacturer’s maximum-flight-time figure but also raises weight to about 290 g.
