No free Chun-Li “movie skin” is confirmed in Fortnite. Epic’s Item Shop has listed the Chun-Li Outfit for 1,600 V-Bucks, and Epic’s official Street Fighter announcement describes that Outfit and its Nostalgia Variant without offering it free or linking it to a movie. Unless Epic publishes a promotion with its own terms, treat any “free claim” method as unverified.
What Epic has confirmed
- Item Shop price: Epic’s Item Shop listing for Chun-Li shows the Outfit at 1,600 V-Bucks. Item Shop prices and listings rotate, so confirm the figure in-game before you buy. Epic Games Item Shop
- Collaboration origin: Epic announced the Ryu and Chun-Li Fortnite collaboration on February 20, 2021. The announcement covers Chun-Li’s Outfit and Nostalgia Variant, the Super Cab-Masher Back Bling, and the built-in Lightning Kick! Emote. Epic’s February 20, 2021 announcement
- Official wording: The announcement states: “Starting today, two of Capcom’s greatest fighters join the Item Shop.” (Epic Games / Fortnite, February 20, 2021.)
Nothing in that announcement describes a movie tie-in, a free claim, or a redemption step. The “movie skin” framing in search queries therefore isn’t supported by the official material reviewed for this article.
How to check whether Chun-Li is available now
- Launch Fortnite and wait for the lobby to finish loading.
- Open the Item Shop from the lobby menu.
- Look for the Street Fighter section, or search the shop for “Chun-Li.”
- If the Outfit is listed, read the V-Bucks price and purchase prompt on the item page before confirming.
- If it is not listed, check again on a later day. Item Shop rotations change, and an absent item is not a permanent removal.
A listing you see in the shop is the only availability signal that counts. Nothing outside the in-game shop changes whether you can buy the Outfit.

Pages promising a free Chun-Li skin usually fall into one of several patterns, and none of them is backed by an Epic announcement:
#1 Best Overall
- The "Street Fighter" fighting game series has earned fans around the world
- Now Chun Li, as seen in the latest edition, "Street Fighter 6," joins S.H.Figuarts in beautiful colors evoking her classic outfit!
- [Set Contents] Main Body, Three optional expressions, Three optional pairs of hands, Hyakuretsu-kyaku effect set, Background sheet
- The product box will have a Bandai Namco warning label, which is proof that you are purchasing an officially licensed Bandai Spirits product
- Movie-tie-in giveaways: No Epic announcement reviewed ties Chun-Li to a film or offers a free claim linked to one.
- Codes, cups, and generators: Epic does not publish redemption codes for this Outfit in the official pages reviewed, and V-Bucks or skin generators are not Epic offers.
- Unlock or “claim” sites: Sites that ask for account login, survey completion, or payment to “unlock” a skin are not official. Entering account credentials there puts your account at risk.
If Epic later announces a free promotion, it will appear in its official Fortnite news and in the in-game shop or events. Check those channels before acting on any other claim.
When Chun-Li might return
A third-party Fortnite tracker, fndb.gg, reports that Chun-Li last appeared in the Item Shop on August 26, 2026. The same tracker says there is no reliable published return schedule. Treat this as secondary historical data, not an Epic guarantee of current or future availability.

Limits of this check
This article reflects the official Epic pages and the third-party tracker cited above, as available at the time of writing. Epic’s Item Shop is dynamic, so the price, availability, and any new promotion can change after this article is published. The absence of a free offer in these sources does not prove that none will ever exist; it means none has been announced in the material reviewed.
