What changed at Undead Labs?
On July 6, 2026, Xbox said Undead Labs had entered terms to join new ownership, with funding to complete and grow State of Decay 3. In the same restructuring announcement, Xbox leadership wrote: “None of our first party publicly announced games or projects are being cancelled as part of these reductions.” That statement concerned the reductions announced at the time; it should not be read as a permanent guarantee about every future project decision.
