What kind of game is Sifu?
Steam describes Sifu as a single-player action game about taking revenge on the assassins who killed the protagonist’s family. A mysterious amulet brings the protagonist back after death, but each revival comes with aging. Combat centers on close-range strikes, dodges, parries, combos, weapons, and objects in the environment; practice unlocks skills and Pak Mei Kung Fu techniques. The Epic Games Store listing also describes it as a realistic third-person brawler and lists controller support.

The base game is listed for Windows on Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you mainly want Sifu’s campaign and combat, start by comparing the base-game price on the storefronts available in your region.

Is Sifu: Arenas paid DLC?
No. Steam, Epic, and the official Sifu website describe Arenas as a free expansion. Their descriptions disagree about its current content totals, however, so the figures should be attributed rather than treated as one settled count.

The safest buying takeaway is the shared point: Arenas is described as free. Check the relevant store listing for its latest description if the exact number of modes, locations, or challenges affects your decision.

- You are free to pick your fights against the Kami in any order. The game features a dynamic difficulty system where each enemy strength is defined by the player’s chosen path. This means that the very same Kami fought at the very beginning could also be the final boss in a different route. Hope to never leave the one you struggle most to fight last!

These creatures will add novelty and strangeness to your journey, providing commentary, unique animations, side objectives and obscure secrets.
- You will get to know the different Kami quite well. When Rei defeats them, she absorbs their power and their personality. The defeated Kami will be carried around wherever Rei goes, and they’ll surely have stuff to talk about. Sometimes their remarks will be useful information that builds the player’s understanding of the lore and the game mechanics, but sometimes they will be... not so helpful, to put it briefly. How should you judge the price and review signals?
Prices vary by region and change over time. On October 7, 2026, the retrieved Steam page showed a promotion ending October 8 with a price in Chinese yuan, while Epic showed a price in Polish złoty. Those snapshots do not establish your local price or which store is cheapest globally; compare the live regional listings immediately before buying.
Epic’s listing displayed a 4.7 player rating, an 85% critics-recommend figure, and an 81 top-critic average when retrieved on October 7, 2026. These are changing storefront metrics, and Epic identifies its player ratings as coming from its ecosystem. Treat them as context rather than a forecast of whether you will enjoy Sifu’s demanding combat.
