It depends on which Rebet product you mean. Rebet Fantasy’s terms dated January 1, 2026 list California as eligible for its skill-based fantasy contests, subject to age, location and other requirements. Rebet’s separate sweepstakes rules exclude California residents. California’s AB 831, effective January 1, 2026, changed the legal landscape for online sweepstakes and gambling simulators, but the available official materials do not establish a final California ruling on every Rebet product.

Which Rebet product are you asking about?

“Rebet” does not have one statewide eligibility answer across all its offerings. Rebet Fantasy contests and Rebet sweepstakes have different published rules, so check the rules for the specific product rather than relying on a general description of the brand.

Rebet Fantasy / Pikkem contests California is listed as an eligible jurisdiction. Rebet’s January 1, 2026 Terms of Use specify a minimum age of 18 for California and require participants to be physically present in an eligible jurisdiction, in addition to meeting other terms. These are the operator’s eligibility statements, not a government ruling. Rebet Fantasy Terms of Use; Pikkem rules

What do Rebet Fantasy’s California terms require?

Rebet describes its Fantasy platform as peer-to-peer, skill-based contests in which users predict athlete performance for an opportunity to win cash prizes. The January 1, 2026 Terms of Use list California as eligible and set the minimum age for California participants at 18. They also require a participant to be physically located in an eligible jurisdiction when taking part, along with compliance with account, contest and other terms. Read the Terms of Use.

Rebet’s Pikkem rules also list California as included. Read the Pikkem rules. These documents show what the operator says about its product and eligibility; they do not by themselves establish that a California regulator or court has approved the product’s legal status.

Why does California law matter?

The California Gambling Control Commission says AB 831 updates laws addressing gambling simulators and online sweepstakes, including digital platforms that simulate gambling and award or connect participants with prizes of value. The Commission states that the changes took effect January 1, 2026. California Gambling Control Commission: 2025 legislation.

The statutory change is relevant to online products, but it does not, on its own, answer whether a particular Rebet product complies with California law. The Commission’s 2026 gambling-law reference, updated through October 1, 2026, and the Attorney General’s overview explain California’s gambling oversight framework; neither reviewed page provides a Rebet-specific adjudication. How to check whether Rebet is available to you

  1. Identify the product. Determine whether you are opening Rebet Fantasy/Pikkem contests or entering a separate Rebet sweepstakes; their California rules differ.
  2. Read that product’s current rules. Confirm the state-eligibility list and any contest-specific restrictions. Rebet’s terms can change, so do not assume a past eligibility statement remains current.
  3. Check age and location requirements. For Rebet Fantasy, the January 1, 2026 terms specify age 18 for California and require physical presence in an eligible jurisdiction while participating.
  4. Consider the legal distinction. Published operator eligibility is not the same as a final determination by a regulator or court. Rebet’s terms place responsibility for following applicable law on users.

Rebet’s homepage has a general “Is Rebet available in my state?” FAQ, but the product-specific terms and rules are the relevant places to verify eligibility. Rebet.

What about sweepstakes entry fees?

The California Attorney General’s general consumer guidance says legitimate sweepstakes are free to enter and advises consumers not to pay to enter a sweepstakes or to improve their odds. This is consumer advice, not a Rebet-specific legal determination. California Attorney General: sweepstakes.
